Book Description
The Double Life of a Minister’s Wife inspired me to face my trials and to keep God first in my life all the time. My influence on people is uplifting to me. And even when they try to derail me, I don’t let anybody dictate who I am, what I should be in life, or what they want me to do. I have done a lot of things that a real overprotective mother, wife, daughter, and saint would do—maybe not in that exact order. I am who I am, and what God has for me is for me. Nobody can tell me differently or lead me to believe otherwise. So I tilt my hat to each and every one who took the time out to and read and be a part of my testimonies and my life story that I have shared. There is a story that must be told and a novel that must be read, and I know that you enjoyed being fed. Remember, if you doubt yourself, then how can you relay your message to help the next fellow man or woman? Be blessed and look for book number 4 and many more to follow, even a movie. It’s all about the God in me! This is a short story of a woman wanting to be loved but didn’t know that she was in a relationship with the devil himself. Certain people will do whatever it takes to get a person, but when you succeed, then you get too comfortable in a web of deceit and betrayal, headed for derailment. I was blinded by the flesh instead of obeying my heavenly Father’s commandment and seeking God first. I was so hungry for love and was tired of the backstabbing and continuous betrayal of past relationships that I trusted and believed this man that was sent to destroy and confuse my mind and to make me switch sides. This evil person did everything up under the table and had me so blinded that all his lies were the ties between the sweet and the bitter, which made me be more scornful and made me wish I was never born!

Book Description
My sincere hope is that every person in an abusive relationship will get out, and that the abuser will be changed by realizing the pain and suffering they cause. When I prayed that God would allow me to marry a preacher, somewhere in my mind I thought it would guarantee me a life of love, peace, and happiness. Nothing was further from the truth. After all, preachers are men too, clothed in nice suits, shoes, and fancy robes. All my life, I had been around marriages that should have ended years ago. I wanted to be different; I wanted to help people change. I wanted to see men love and cherish their wives. We all know for the most part at least on the surface that preachers' wives seem to be more than happy. Some wear the designer suits and hats with fancy matching shoes. On occasion, I did too. However, I soon found out, at least in my life, it was all superficial. I was all smiles and encouraging words outside the door, but most days, behind closed doors, my life was a living hell. Three months into my marriage, I began living in a nightmare. I told myself I would never tell anyone. I would help the world believe we had the ideal marriage. Even before the I-do's, I knew there were some problems. Before long Shirley became a "preacher's wife with a secret life," and everything in her told her that she's not the only one!

Book Description
She never expected to be a minister’s wife. And the life she discovered was more challenging—and more beautiful—than she could have anticipated. We all wrestle with tough questions about life and faith, and Karen Stiller has learned that answers don’t come any easier when you’re married to the minister. What does it mean to live faithfully in our complicated world? Is there a place here for me—the real me? What does everyone expect of me, and what if I fail? In The Minister’s Wife, Karen shines a light on the rhythms and tough realities of the spiritual life for each and every one of us. She explores how community helps us grow; the unexpected beauty of doubt; the messy pain of families and funerals; how church can hurt and heal; and the beauty of showing up when sometimes it is more appealing to go to a coffee shop on a Sunday morning (even when you’re the pastor’s wife). Warm, witty, and achingly honest, The Minister’s Wife is a memoir in essays on choosing to belong, and an invitation to join a spiritual adventure.

Book Description
Early American Women Critics demonstrates that performances of various kinds - religious, political and cultural - enabled women to enter the human rights debates that roiled the American colonies and young republic. Black and white women staked their claims on American citizenship through disparate performances of spirit possession, patriotism, poetic and theatrical production. They protected themselves within various shields which allowed them to speak openly while keeping the individual basis of their identities invisible. Cima shows that between the First and Second Great Religious Awakenings (1730s–1830s), women from West Africa, Europe, and various corners of the American colonies self-consciously adopted performance strategies that enabled them to critique American culture and establish their own diverse and contradictory claims on the body politic. This book restores the primacy of religious performances - Christian, Yoruban, Bantu and Muslim - to the study of early American cultural and political histories, revealing that religion and race are inseparable.

Book Description
"The Pastor's Wife - The Role and Life of the Pastor's Wife" is a well-written and insightful real-life ode to pastors' wives. The author, a renowned broadcast journalist, writes in simple, relatable English, offering readers a glimpse into the pastor's wife's (Osofo/Asafo maame's) often lonely and misunderstood unscripted life. She translates her pain from the loss of a dear friend into an opportunity to give pastors' wives a voice to share their secret pain and burdens with the world. This is not in a sense of seeking sympathy but rather in an appreciation of their public life, which has often overshadowed their individuality and the challenge of "living above reproach." She reveals how some pastors' wives have virtually lost themselves in ministry as they submissively help their spouses work towards fulfilling the mandate of their calling. This is a must-read for all church members, helping them to appreciate the vulnerability and secret cries of the pastor's spouse. It does not paint a gloomy picture but rather sheds light on the reality and suggests how the situation can be improved through policies that allow wives to also live their calling as they support the Pastor." Deaconess Sophia Nana Kudjordi, Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Graceland, Chief Corporate Communications Officer, ZoomLion. In the book, Peggy raises questions about the preparations that ministers' wives undergo and how this affects them in their roles. She accomplishes this by examining the perspectives of a cross-section of ministers' wives from various denominations in Ghana and beyond. The author achieves this by beautifully weaving the biography of a minister's wife and her personal reflections on her life. Based on these insights, she identifies the challenges faced by ministers' wives and offers useful recommendations to improve their ministry. The book carries a great deal of credibility and specificity. I am hopeful that it will inspire ministers and their wives to appreciate the circumstances in which ministry is conducted, and I highly recommend it to all. Samuel Gyau Obuobi (Apostle) General Secretary, The Church of Pentecost Peggy Ama Donkor delves into the rare subject of the role ministers' wives play in the lives of ministers within the body of Christ. In her book, "The Pastor's Wife - The Life and Role of the Pastor's Wife," she recounts the life story of her late "sister" as a minister's wife and extends her observations to the roles of other ministers' wives from The Church of Pentecost and other Christian denominations. The author raises questions about the role ministers' wives play in their husbands' ministry. She contextualizes the role of the minister's wife in The Church of Pentecost by comparing it with that of other churches. After gathering the views of a wide array of ministers' wives, she enumerates several challenges faced by ministers' wives across the spectrum and offers recommendations for addressing some of those challenges, as suggested by those already in ministry. She also provides guidance for the wives of young ministers and those entering ministry. Undoubtedly, the author utilizes her journalistic expertise to enrich the writing. The result is a simple and easy-to-read book suitable for all audiences. I encourage everyone to obtain copies, as it will undoubtedly change your perception of who a minister's wife is for the better. Elder Engr.
