He married Edna Beulah Robinson (1891-1957), daughter of William Henry Robinson (1867-1951) and Mary Magdaline Fisher (1867-1934), in 1908 in Daviess County, Indiana. They had fourteen children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Germany, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Indiana, Illinois and Arkansas.
