Book Description
"Never has the institution of the family been put in such jeopardy as it is today. Wars, tyrannical rulers and the reducing of entire peoples into slavery, although never absent from history, have damaged or even destroyed individual families, but the institution itself had never been touched." Until now, when the cultural Marxists have made the demolition of the Family a key part of their long war against Christian civilisation and European identity. This important new work exposes the origins and methods of this ruthless assault on traditional values and on the rights of parents and children. Written from a patriotic, traditionalist and Christian perspective, it highlights the anti-human agenda of the enemies of normality. Thoroughly researched and referenced, it provides a wealth of facts which demolish the specious arguments employed by the propagandists of sexual 'liberation', 'gender theory' and heterophobia. It provides valuable insights into the deeply negative impact of the left's assault on the Family on the physical and mental welfare both on children and on members of the very 'minorities' the left claim to champion. Finally, it examines the positive steps now underway in various nations as the traditionalist counter-revolution grows in strength and confidence.

Book Description
The family lives of immigrants and ethnic minority populations have become central to arguments about the right and wrong ways of living in multicultural societies. While the characteristic cultural practices of such families have long been scrutinized by the media and policy makers, these groups themselves are beginning to reflect on how to manage their family relationships. Exploring case studies from Austria, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Australia, The Family in Question explores how those in public policy often dangerously reflect the popular imagination, rather than recognizing the complex changes taking place within the global immigrant community.

Book Description
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH EMMANUEL MACRON As it faces a critical moment of truth, is Europe finally developing its own strategy? Without losing sight of its hopes and ambitions in terms of green and digital transition, energy autonomy, space and maritime conquest, research and innovation, the European Union has changed a great deal in the last five years — in the wake of the health crisis, and now with war at its borders — and it is beginning to shape its own geopolitical posture. Questions involving European sovereignty, defence and the definition of a common position vis-à-vis other world powers, in particular the United States and China, are leading to responses that are moving in the right direction. By linking its future to that of Ukraine, the Union is meeting the security and strategic challenges facing our continent, while ensuring respect for fundamental rights and its duty of solidarity. By adapting its agricultural, budgetary, financial and trade instruments, it acknowledges the constant need to stimulate growth. In this election year 2024, with a new balance among the 720 seats in the European Parliament, and the appointment of a new Commission, a great deal of hope is being placed on the European Union. As it focuses on the major issues shaping the future of Europe, the Schuman Report on Europe, the State of the Union 2024 not only brings together eminent figures from the world of politics, foremost among them the President of the French Republic, the President of the European Commission and the President of the European Parliament, it also gives the floor to key players in business, research and diplomacy. Throughout the book, they share their analyses and visions of the added value that the European Union provides. With the support of original maps and annotated statistical data, this book is an essential tool for understanding the multidimensional challenges facing Europe today. Book Description
Mothers, Families, or Children? is the first comparative-historical study of family policies in Poland, Hungary, and Romania from 1945 until the eve of the global pandemic in 2020. The book highlights the emergence, consolidation, and perseverance of three types of family policies based on “mother-orientation” in Poland, “family orientation” in Hungary, and “child-orientation” in Romania. It uses a new theoretical framework to identify core and contingent clusters of benefits and services in each country and trace their development across time and under different political regimes, before and after 1989. It also examines and compares policy continuity and change with special attention to institutions, ideas, and actors involved in decision making and reform. As family policies continue to evolve in the era of European Union membership and new governmental and societal actors emerge, this study reveals mechanisms that help preserve core family policy clusters while allowing reform in contingent ones in each country.

Book Description
This book examines the role of gender in political conflicts worldwide, specifically the intersection between gender and terrorism. Political violence has historically been viewed as a male domain with men considered the perpetrators of violence and power, and women as victims without power. Whereas men and masculinity are associated with war and aggression, women and femininity conjure up socially constructed images of passivity and peace. This distinction of men as aggressors and women as passive victims denies women their voice and agency. This book investigates how women cope with and influence violent politics, and is both a descriptive and analytical attempt to describe in what ways women are present or absent in political contexts involving political violence, and how they deal with gender assumptions, express gender identities, and frame their actions regarding political violence encountered in their lives. The book looks to reach beyond the notion of women as victims of terrorism or genocide without agency, and to recognize the gendered nature of political conflicts and how women respond to violence. This book will be of interest to advanced undergraduate and graduate students in political science, sociology, cultural studies, and gender studies, academics in terrorism studies and gender studies, government officials, NGOs, and professionals working in areas of violent conflict.

Book Description
Why do responses to terrorist attacks often perpetuate cycles of deadly violence? Can an understanding of the psychology of these cycles help us to break them? Drawing on clinical experience of the care of people and communities affected by violence and disasters and on advances in cognitive and dynamic psychology, attachment theory, group psychology and thanatology, this ground-breaking work by a prominent and varied array of contributors casts light on the causes of terrorism, the reasons why responses to deadly attacks easily give rise to or maintain cycles of violence and some ways to prevent and interrupt these cycles. Using the violence in Northern Ireland and Rwanda as case studies throughout, Part 1, The Context of Terrorism, looks at the psychological and social influences behind extremism, terrorism and conflict. Part 2, Reponses to a Terrorist Attack, examines the responses that can feed a cycle of violence and assesses a range of approaches for their success in ending violence. Part 3, Breaking the Cycle, looks in depth at specific environments, influences and changes that can affect how violence can be prevented or mitigated, including the role of schools and the media and an examination of how peace processes were carried out in Northern Ireland and Rwanda. The book works to demonstrate how psychological responses to a terror attack can trigger unstable emotional responses and override judgement and to identify the five key points in a cycle of violence where change, for better or for worse, is possible. Ideal for psychiatrists, thanatologists, palliative care and bereavement staff, politicians and journalists as well as anyone with an interest in terrorism and its causes, this is a thought-provoking and accessible work on a highly topical subject.
