Book Description
Excerpt from The Assyrian Eponym Canon: Containing Translations of the Documents, and an Account of the Evidence, on the Comparative Chronology of the Assyrian and Jewish Kingdoms, From the Death of Solomon to Nebuchadnezzar It will be understood that the numbers and letters before dates and extracts, as K 398 at the top of p. 89, refer to the numbers of the objects in the British Museum collection, and will enable them to be found in case of reference. I have only to add, that in comparing so many dates, accidental cases of error in the numbers may escape me; but I have tried to check this, and hope that the data will be found reliable throughout.
