Tom is always getting into trouble, usually with his friend, Huckleberry Finn. Together they sneak out to a graveyard at night, where they witness Injun Joe murder Dr. Robinson. Tom, Huck, and their friend, Joe Harper, run away for a little while, making the town think they are dead. Once back, Tom feels braver and decides to testify against Injun Joe, who escapes from the law but ultimately dies starving in a cave and Tom and Huck find his hidden treasure.

It leaves you at so many cliffhangers that you can help but read all of it at once, for the people who like cliffhangers.
