Elle participe à la recherche dans l’UMR 7268 ADES (anthropologie-droit-éthique-santé) Aix-Marseille université-EFS-CNRS. Marion Mathieu est docteur en biologie et ingénieur (ESPCI-ParisTech). Depuis 2003, elle conduit des formations pour l’association Tous Chercheurs, dont la mission est d’initier le public à la démarche scientifique et au milieu de la recherche. Tous Chercheurs forme chaque année près de 200 membres d’associations sur des thèmes variés comme la vaccination, les essais cliniques, les tests génétiques, etc.
