Book Description
LES POLYBENZYLES ET LES POLYIMIDES SONT CONNUS POUR LEUR BONNE RESISTANCE AUX TEMPERATURES ELEVEES MAIS EGALEMENT POUR LEUR INSOLUBILITE DANS LES SOLVANTS ORGANIQUES USUELS. NOUS AVONS SYNTHETISE PAR POLYCONDENSATION DIFFERENTS POLYBENZYLS ET POLYIMIDES A CHAINES LINEAIRES SUR LESQUELLES NOUS AVONS GREFFE DES GROUPEMENTS ALKYLES OU ALCOXY NON RAMIFIES ET DE DIFFERENTES LONGUEURS. NOUS AVONS AINSI OBTENU DES POLYMERES SOLUBLES DANS LA PLUPART DES SOLVANTS ORGANIQUES TESTES. NOUS AVONS CARACTERISE CES POLYMERES PAR RESONANCE MAGNETIQUE NUCLEAIRE DU PROTON ET DU CARBONE (RMN 1H ET 1 3C), PAR SPECTROSCOPIE INFRAROUGE (IR), PAR CHROMATOGRAPHIE D'EXCLUSION STERIQUE (CES), PAR CALORIMETRIE DIFFERENTIELLE A BALAYAGE A MODULATION DE TEMPERATURE (MT-DSC) ET PAR ANALYSE THERMOGRAVIMETRIQUE (ATG). NOUS AVONS ETUDIE L'INFLUENCE DE LA NATURE DE LA CHAINE AINSI QUE DE LA LONGUEUR DE CELLE-CI SUR LA SOLUBILITE ET LA TEMPERATURE DE TRANSITION VITREUSE (TG). LA NATURE DE LA CHAINE PENDANTE JOUE ESSENTIELLEMENT UN ROLE SUR LA SOLUBILITE ALORS QUE SA LONGUEUR JOUE UN ROLE AUSSI BIEN SUR LA SOLUBILITE QUE LA TEMPERATURE DE TRANSITION VITREUSE. PLUS LA CHAINE PENDANTE EST LONGUE, PLUS LE POLYMERE EST SOLUBLE ET PLUS LA TEMPERATURE DE TRANSITION VITREUSE EST FAIBLE.

Book Description

Book Description
The architecture of the human language faculty has been one of the main foci of the linguistic research of the last half century. This branch of linguistics, broadly known as Generative Grammar, is concerned with the formulation of explanatory formal accounts of linguistic phenomena with the ulterior goal of gaining insight into the properties of the 'language organ'. The series comprises high quality monographs and collected volumes that address such issues. The topics in this series range from phonology to semantics, from syntax to information structure, from mathematical linguistics to studies of the lexicon. Book Description
Comprehensively introduces readers to the production, modifications, and applications of nanocellulose This book gives a thorough introduction to the structure, properties, surface modification, theory, mechanism of composites, and functional materials derived from nanocellulose. It also provides in-depth descriptions of plastics, composites, and functional nanomaterials specifically derived from cellulose nanocrystals, cellulose nanofibrils, and bacterial cellulose. It includes the most recent progress in developing a conceptual framework of nanocellulose, as well as its numerous applications in the design and manufacture of nanocomposites and functional nanomaterials. The book also looks at the relationship between structure and properties. Featuring contributions from many noted experts in the field, Nanocellulose: From Fundamentals to Advanced Materials examines the current status of nanocomposites based on nanocelluloses. It covers surface modification of nanocellulose in the nanocomposites development; reinforcing mechanism of cellulose nanocrystals in nanocomposites; and advanced materials based on self-organization of cellulose nanocrystals. The book studies the role of cellulose nanofibrils in nanocomposites, as well as a potential application based on colloidal properties of cellulose nanocrystals. It also offers strategies to explore biomedical applications of nanocellulose. Provides comprehensive knowledge on the topic of nanocellulose, including the preparation, structure, properties, surface modification and strategy Covers new reports on the application of nanocellulose Summarizes three kinds of nanocellulose (cellulose nanocrystals, cellulose nanofibrils, and bacterial cellulose) and their production, modification, and applications Nanocellulose: From Fundamentals to Advanced Materials is a useful resource for specialist researchers of chemistry, materials, and nanotechnology science, as well as for researchers and students of the subject.

Book Description
Food chemistry is the study of chemical processes and interactions of all biological and non-biological components of foods. The biological substances include such items as meat, poultry, lettuce, beer, and milk as examples. It is similar to biochemistry in its main components such as carbohydrates, lipids, and protein, but it also includes areas such as water, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, food additives, flavours, and colours. This discipline also encompasses how products change under certain food processing techniques and ways either to enhance or to prevent them from happening. An example of enhancing a process would be to encourage fermentation of dairy products with lactic acid; an example of a preventing process would be stopping the Maillard reaction on the surface of freshly cut Red Delicious apples whether by hand or mechanical methods. This book presents the recent research from around the world in this field.
