Une étude quantitative par auto-questionnaire a été réalisée auprès des parents dans deux services d'urgences de Midi-Pyrénées. Les parents recherchaient avant tout une relation de confiance avec le médecin et un bon relationnel. Ils préféraient le médecin généraliste pour sa disponibilité et sa proximité de leur lieu de vie, le pédiatre pour sa compétence professionnelle et sa réputation. La moitié des parents choisissaient la PMI pour la gratuité de ses consultations. La santé de l'enfant doit devenir une priorité de santé publique. Dans ce cadre, l'optimisation de son suivi médical passera par une clarification du rôle de chaque professionnel de santé.

INTRODUCTION : Le suivi médical de l'enfant de la naissance à six ans peut faire intervenir plusieurs professionnels de santé. Aussi, devant l'offre de soin actuelle, quels sont les critères de choix qui conduisent les parents à choisir entre pédiatre, PMI et médecin généraliste? MATÉRIEL ET MÉTHODES: Etude qualitative par entretiens semi-dirigés de parents d'enfants de 0 à six ans sains, dans le Languedoc-Roussillon avec analyse sémio-pragmatique. RÉSULTATS: 18 entretiens de parents ont été inclus. Les principaux critères de choix sont : les compétences relationnelles, l'accessibilité qui englobe la disponibilité, la proximité ainsi que l'aspect financier, et les compétences professionnelles. DISCUSSION: Notre étude laisse transparaître une certaine méconnaissance des parents concernant les différents professionnels de santé de l'enfance, liée à un manque d'information. De plus, devant les difficultés liées à la démographie médicale, les médecins généralistes sont amenés à réaliser d'avantage d'actes pédiatriques. CONCLUSION: Il est donc primordial de bien informer les parents sur la place et les compétences des différents professionnels de santé de l'enfant. Afin d'optimiser le suivi de la santé de l'enfant, il est indispensable de bien former les médecins généralistes en passant par une meilleure formation initiale des internes en pédiatrie et à l'accès à un développement professionnel continue.

A Civil Society explores the struggle to initiate women as full participants in the masonic brotherhood that shared in the rise of France's civil society and its "civic morality" on behalf of women's rights. As a vital component of the third sector during France's modernization, freemasonry empowered women in complex social networks, contributing to a more liberal republic, a more open society, and a more engaged public culture. James Smith Allen shows that although women initially met with stiff resistance, their induction into the brotherhood was a significant step in the development of French civil society and its "civic morality," including the promotion of women's rights in the late nineteenth century. Pulling together the many gendered facets of masonry, Allen draws from periodicals, memoirs, and archival material to account for the rise of women within the masonic brotherhood in the context of rapid historical change.
