The conventional hadronic modes will contain K{bar K}, [phi] and the f0(975), which is considered to be the J{sup pc} = 0{sup ++} isoscalar s{bar s} meson. Hadronic decays of the Ds meson have been measured in relatively few modes and all modes are measured relative to the [phi][pi] mode. In this paper, an upper limit for the absolute branching ratio of the Ds decay into the [phi][pi] mode and evidence for the decay, Ds → f0(975)[pi] is presented from the Mark III. 26 refs., 4 figs.
