Book Description
“Disability has nothing on ability when ingenuity and agility is shield with a strong belief to achieve and a strong support to try.” In Four Fairies Tell Tales, classic fairy tales are reimagined with a fresh, inclusive twist for the modern age. Three beloved stories are retold, while one original tale makes its debut, each featuring a main character with a common mental or physical challenge. These characters embody bravery, strength, and mental agility, proving that having a ‘disability’ is not a drawback or weakness. Through their unique perspectives and ingenious problem-solving, the characters in these stories tackle challenges head-on, demonstrating that obstacles can be overcome regardless of one’s abilities. By representing and supporting the diverse culture of our modern age, Four Fairies Tell Tales aims to create a more inclusive society for all. This collection of stories celebrates the power of determination and resilience, reminding readers that a disability should never hold one back from achieving their goals and living life to the fullest.

Book Description
The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program is a lottery that awards winners from underrepresented countries the chance to apply for legal permanent residence in the United States. Most lottery winners think of themselves as lucky, viewing the win as an opportunity to pursue better lives for themselves and their families. In Structured Luck, sociologist Onoso Imoagene uses immigrants’ stories to show that while the visa program benefits many recipients, the program’s design can also lead to exploitation in their countries of origin and reduced potential once they are in the United States. Combining ethnographic observation in Africa and interviews with immigrants, their family members, and friends from Ghana and Nigeria, Imoagene demonstrates that the visa program is a process of “structured luck,” from how people hear about the lottery, who registers for it, and who participates in it to the application requirements for the visa. In Ghana and Nigeria, people often learn about the lottery through friends, colleagues, or relatives who persuade them to enter for the perceived benefits of receiving a visa: opportunities for upward mobility, permanent legal status, and the ability to bring along family members. Though anyone can enter the lottery, not everyone who wins obtains a visa. The visa application process requires proof of a high school diploma or artisan skills, a medical exam, a criminal background check, an interview with U.S. consular officers, and payment of fees. Such requirements have led to the growth of visa entrepreneurs, who often charge exorbitant fees to steer immigrants through the process. Visa recipients who were on track to obtain university degrees at home often leave in the middle of their studies for the United States but struggle to continue their education due to high U.S. tuition costs. And though their legal status allows them to escape the demoralizing situations that face the undocumented, these immigrants lack the social support that the government sometimes provides for refugees and other migrants. Ultimately, Imoagene notes, the real winner of the visa lottery is not the immigrants themselves but the United States, which benefits from their relatively higher levels of education. Consequently, she argues, the U.S. must do more to minimize the visa program’s negative consequences. Structured Luck illuminates the trauma, resilience, and determination of immigrants who come to the United States through the Diversity Visa Program and calls for the United States to develop policies that will better integrate them into society.

Book Description
When everything is taken away from us, our story is all we have left. How valuable have you made your story? How creative have you been with life, with living, with you, and towards others? Are your memories priceless or pointless? These are intimate core questions we eventually find asking ourselves sooner or later, and in some cases, when it’s already too late to make a difference. The Creative Talents Notebook is a wonder tool designed with a variety of engaging and compelling creative and motivational quotes designed to help individuals store their impressions, their experiences, their thoughts, their ideas and observations. This inspirational notebook engages innovators, artists, musicians, actors, scientists, business leaders, entrepreneurs and the likes and help them stay productive and in so doing unleash their creative side. As an author, I learnt firsthand that happiness is what we find when we spend time discovering ourselves, when we engage in expressive writing, when we delegate the burden of thinking to writing onto a blank page. The truth is, a blank page is a good listener. A blank page helps us discover all the great things that we haven’t thought of in a while, all the great things we haven’t been able to think of about ourselves. So, The Creative Talent Notebook is also empowered through its inspirational and diverse nature to also touch on mental health, self recreation and healthy journaling.

Book Description
Santa Remembers All Good Kids reminds readers that good morals begin at home, and it starts with teaching kids how to do the little things with ease that they otherwise wouldn’t want to do by exposing them to examples from other children around the world. Helping kids understand that material things are less important than moments spent with someone is significant. It also encourages more communication between the child and the parent. Lastly, it teaches kids how relevant goals are and how good behaviour is valuable in achieving any goal. Parents and carers often find it challenging to get kids to do things that would help them in their health or other areas such as brushing their teeth at night time or in the morning – putting their toys away, taking their medicines, doing their homework, etc. Santa Remembers All Good Kids is about a little girl named Mary, who decides that she would love nothing better than to spend some time with Santa Claus because she believes that time is the greatest gift of all gifts during Christmas and she believes that Santa will grant her wish. It also includes 14 stories of kids all around the world—from Spain to Italy to Germany—who are well-behaved and receive toys from Santa as a reward. In addition, it serves as a learning and educational tool for all kids.
