Book Description
The results from PHM space technology, HIV, DNA and cancer research for the Canadian Space Agency's Predictive Medicine Program to predict which Canadian astronauts in training would become mentally ill on a deep space mission to Mars. The surprise results identified the cause of pedophilia, mental illness, childhood autism, cancer, arthritis, diabetes and all immune and auto immune system diseases and for some, how to recover or cure.

Book Description
The U.S. is experiencing an epidemic in many mental health related disorders including childhood autism, pedophilia and gender expansion. The author discovered the physiological process that creates these disorders while working for the Canadian Space Agency's Predictive Medicine Group in Ottawa Canada in 2012 by using his prognostics and health management (PHM) technology's prognostic analysis that identifies the presence of premature aging. The author was asked by the Canadian Space Agency personnel to determine if his predictive algorithms could identify the astronauts in training that would acquire a mental illness on future planned deep space missions to Mars for replacement with an astronaut that would not. The author's research results identified the cause of mental illness and the physiological information needed from each astronaut to predict which would acquire a mental illness. The same research results explains how other mental disorders and altered brain states are created including pedophiles and how to stop them from being created, stopping the current epidemic of pedophilia, childhood autism and gender confusion. Just as an engineering diagnostic analysis identifies spacecraft equipment failures from premature aging after they occur as well as health issues caused from premature aging after they occur in a medical diagnostic analysis, the author's PHM's prognostic analysis identifies the spacecraft equipment information needed to predict spacecraft equipment failures from premature aging with 100% certainty and brain disorders and altered states needed to predict them with certainty such as mental illness, autism, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, gender confusion and pedophilia. The author was successful by applying his proprietary predictive algorithms to identify the presence of premature aging in physiological information. By using PHM's prognostic analysis, the author was able to identify the presence premature aging in health data and identify how the same changes in the brain that cause mental illness, autism and gender expansion creates pedophiles and what is needed to stop creating these disorders and altered brain states as well as all other auto-immune and immune system diseases including as cancer and childhood autism, arthritis and diabetes and he identified which ones can be stopped, cured and/or how to recover from them.

Book Description
Prevention is better than cure. This adage has become an important guideline for governments in recent years. Prevention of terrorist attacks, of recidivism among habitual offenders, of dropouts among problem adolescents, or of obesity among children: the existing repertoires of the constitutional state and the welfare state are complemented by a preventive intervention repertoire in a broad range of policy domains. But what does this transformation imply for our understanding of the state in late-modern society? This study reconstructs the emergence of 'the preventive gaze' in politics and policymaking, and discusses its consequences for the relation between state and society. Prevention seems to be a logical answer in the face of contemporary social issues such as security, education, welfare, and public health. However, prevention also has an expansive logic and pushes the state towards an ever more detailed, comprehensive, and timely approach to risks. As a consequence, the emergence of the 'prevention state' tends towards a slow and silent politicization of society and usurpation of the state-free domain.

Book Description
This textbook describes analytical tools for studying comparative criminal procedure through film and provides summaries of the law of 50 countries and of over 270 films that depict criminal procedure in action in those countries. The traditional tools of comparative analysis include the inquisitorial-adversarial dichotomy, role-specific constructs and the Civil Law-Common Law dichotomy. In addition, differences in criminal procedure can be examined through the socialist, Islamic and indigenous legal traditions and through the evolving international legal regimes. The tools of comparative legal analysis are applied to examine the adjudicative process through film, beginning with police contact with a crime suspect and ending either with a judge or jury's acquittal or with execution of sentence. The law summaries describe the distinctive criminal procedure of each legal tradition and of each country within those traditions. For each country, the film summaries describe background information about the film and the filmmaker, the plot of the film as a whole and the legal story contained within. The textbook is designed for teaching law students, but is also suitable for teaching an undergraduate or post-graduate college course in comparative criminal justice. About the author: Samuel W. Bettwy is Adjunct Professor of Law at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where he has taught Comparative Law since 1995. Professor Bettwy received a J.D. from California Western School of Law, an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Center, and an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies, with highest distinction, from the U.S. Naval War College. In 2009, he graduated from the French Army Reserve Staff Officer Course at l'Ecole Militaire in Paris, France. Professor Bettwy has served as a litigating attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice since 1987, practicing in immigration court, U.S. district court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He also served as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1987 to 2014, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. Professor Bettwy has written several published articles on comparative law, international law, immigration law, terrorism and film."
