The principal doctrines defining Mormonism today often bear little resemblance to those it started out with in the early 1830s. This book shows that these doctrines did not originate in a vacuum but were rather prompted and informed by the religious culture from which Mormonism arose. The Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1967, volume 1, contains messages given by Brother Witness Lee from February through May 1967. For the first three months of the year, Brother Lee continued his six-month visit to the Far East begun in the previous year. There is no record of his speaking before his return to Taipei.
