The managerial requirements are reviewed and summarised as an initial consideration in the establishment of a control programme. From this the principle of risk management develops and the management and control strategy for asbestos hazards forms, it includes elemenets such as removal, substitution, encapsulation and enclosure. Additionally, the peripheral areas of contractor selection, tendering control and education are discussed. The programme draws upon the latest Worksafe Australia Draft of Practice and Guidance notes." -- Abstract.
