Book Description
Employing an individual life lived under any names, Names and Stories investigates nineteenth-century British culture while also embodying a critical and historical engagement with theoretical questions. The book examines the histories of gender, knowledge, families, bodies, art, and political thought in Victorian Britain, contributing to both literary studies and cross-disciplinary feminist scholarship. By exploring key facets of British cultural and political history in the 1800s, this new work rigorously addresses wider themes of narrative, figuration, and historical writing and reading.

Book Description
“I have to ask again, Lorrie. What are you thinking? Why would you tell on yourself and members of your family and family lines to the whole world?” Answer: “Because the Holy Spirit asked me to so others can learn that healing for oneself, members of one’s family, and one’s family lines is possible.” The Holy Spirit prompted questions for me to ask that gradually uncovered issues needing forgiveness, clearing, and healing in myself and my Soul line, and in our family and family lines, along with the roots of those issues and how to deal with them. They included centuries-old curses, hypnotic implants, and infestation by negative (dark) energies. I pray that my story will help many other people, families, and family lines be cleared and healed.

Book Description
This book traces the journey taken by the Canadian Province of Our Lady of the Missions (RNDM) from their establishment in Manitoba in 1898 until 2008, when the congregation as a whole redefined its mission and vision. Using archival research conducted in Winnipeg, Manitoba as well as in England and Italy, and incorporating oral interviews with RNDM sisters, this book explores the historical work of sisters in schools and the part they played in the educational state in formation. The details of the congregation's activity in schools show how the sisters' educational work was related to the social characteristics of the communities (e.g., those of French Canadian settlers, British immigrants, the M?tis population, and continental European immigrants), first in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, and later in Ontario and Quebec. The Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions examines the impact of Vatican II in the 1960s, and into the 2000s, as well as the dismantling of neo-scholasticism and the process of secularization of consciousness in society at large. The emerging issues led the congregation and the province to examine their individual and collective identity at the intersection of feminist theology, eco-spirituality, and a critique of western cosmology.
