Book Description
Thirteen years ago, decorated former-Army Ranger Roman Sheppard rescued Mexican heiress Cenobia Trujillo from a shocking kidnapping that riveted the world. In the years since, Roman’s risen from his humble Texas roots: He is now the head of an elite security firm and the reluctant half-prince of a glamorous wine-growing Spanish kingdom. And today, Cenobia--"Cen"--is finally in the CEO role she’s trained for her whole life. But serious, growing threats against her are derailing a product launch that will change the Mexican industrial landscape forever. She’s done the hard work to recover from her kidnapping, but therapy has't changed the fact that Roman Sheppard will forever represent safety in her mind. He's the only one she can trust. And his coming to Mexico will allow Cenobia to finally figure out if what she feels is a teenager’s daydream or a grown woman’s reality... But there’s a reason Roman has stayed a continent away. His mission is to save people. And nothing--not duty to family, not the mistakes of his past, and certainly not love--is going to get in his way. He'll go to Mexico. He'll help Cen. He'll keep her safe. What he won't allow himself to do? Desire Cenobia Trujillo. He won’t allow her to become his sweet Cen. Filthy Rich Book 1: Lush Money Book 2: Hate Crush Book 3: Serving Sin

Book Description
The focus of this study is to discover the identity of the emphatic ‘I’ of Rom 7 with the added purpose of attempting to ‘draw’ a spiritual portrait of a mature Christian believer. To accomplish this purpose, the process is as follows: An examination of Rom 7, within its context, is conducted. This examination is followed by an attempt at determining the experience of the emphatic ‘I’ found within Rom 7. The next step in the process is to compare the experience of the emphatic ‘I’ of Rom 7, as found within its context of Rom 1–8 with what Paul wrote elsewhere on the experience of new life in Christ for Christian believers. The purpose of this comparison is to discover if Paul had a ‘consistent’ portrait of spirituality and Christian maturity. The final step is to compare the experience described by Paul, both in Rom 7 and in the wider Pauline Corpus, with the experience which John Wesley called ‘perfection,’ and with the Mystical experience called the ‘spiritual marriage.’ The study of Romans, Wesley, and the Mystics, coupled with the wider study of the secondary literature showed that there is a remarkable consistency in the teaching and understanding that the closer a Christian believer gets to God, the more this Christian believer is aware of his or her own sinfulness. Paul, in describing the experience of the emphatic ‘I,’ is describing a person who is becoming more and more aware of his or her own sinfulness. The conclusion to be drawn from this study is that the identity of the empathic ‘I’ is of a regenerate Christian believer, one who is growing ever closer and closer to God and at the same time is in ‘pain’ over the remaining effects of sin.

Book Description
Improper self-love leads to a lifestyle that is selfish and self-destructive. But failing to love yourself adequately is also self-destructive. Without proper self-esteem, people fail to use their God-given gifts and have difficulty loving others. Jesus calls us to walk the narrow road between selfishness and selflessness. This study will help you do so. You will learn how to study the Bible as you examine and discuss topics such as Loving Ourselves, Valuing Ourselves, Understanding Ourselves, Behaving Ourselves, Forgiveness for Ourselves, Growing Ourselves, Being Ourselves. Each chapter has three main sections: Group Study (materials for a sixty- to ninety-minute small-group Bible study); Study Resources (notes and comments for use in both group and personal study); Personal Study (a series of reflection questions for use by group members on their own during the week). Extra help is available at the end of the book in the sections The Art of Leadership (tips on how to lead a small group) and Small Group Leader's Guide (notes on each session). The goal of PILGRIMAGE GUIDES is to understand what it means for us to meet and know Jesus. Through an examination of the spiritual disciplines of Bible study, prayer, and worship, we experience what it means to be a spiritual pilgrim--walking in a new way with God. And we look at how this new way changes the way we view others and live our lives in Christ. PILGRIMAGE GUIDES: Learning to Love God Learning to Love Ourselves Learning to Love Others

Book Description
Current study of the New Testament features many new interpretations. Robert Gundry's book finds them largely wanting and defends traditional ones. Several of its essays have never been published before. Most of the rest, though previously published, have been updated and otherwise revised, sometimes heavily. The studies cover a wide variety of topics in New Testament study, ranging from the Gospels to Revelation and much in between, as for example theological diversity, symbiosis between theology and genre criticism, pre-Papian tradition concerning Mark and Matthew as apostolically Johannine, and mishnaic jurisprudence as compatible with Jesus' blasphemy. In its entirety, this collection of essays shows the weaknesses of many novel interpretations of the New Testament as well as the essential reliability of earliest traditions concerning the New Testament, and the essential reliability of New Testament traditions themselves.
