Book Description
In this masterpiece of simplicity, Macrina Wiederkehr offers a series of meditations to bring us closer to a "God for all seasons," revised and expanded into this new edition. Designed for daily use as well as for retreats, Seasons of Your Heart is an eloquent and lyrical invitation to journey through the spiritual seasons of wonder, hope, love, mystery, and faith. Macrina Weiderkehr shares her "seasonal struggle with God" and encourages us to reconize those same peaks and valleys in our own spiritual life. Using biblical passages, poetry, and excerpts from her journal, Wiederkehr provides meditative ideas and prayers as "postures" for realizing and approaching the holy in our daily lives. These reflections and prayers, then, have grown out of a daily listening to God in the changing seasons of my spiritual life, "writes the author. "These reflections have grown out of my conviction that our God is not some Almighty Being beyond us, but a Mystery within."

Book Description
My name is Keri M. McLeroy. I'm the oldest of 3 girls and I'm a Georgia native, born and raised. I've been told for many years now that I should publish my poems. I've been writing for at least 18 years and though it's taking me this long to actually do anything with what I've written, I'm now giving it a shot. I chose "The Season: Poetry of the Heart" because of the different types of poems there are. There are poems that talk of love, friendship, pain and self-doubt. Poems that just talk about life, or the natural beauty that there is in life. Poems that even talk about Christ. The poems themselves can help with many cases because though they are my writings the thought behind poetry can always be the case for anyone and everyone. I know because I've gotten feedback on quite a few of these poems that they can hold different meanings. All hold a special place in my heart, though I would have to say "Strength to Surpass" is probably one that holds the most due to it being for me, my battle with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome but can stand for all sorts of health issues.

Book Description
Lois Duncan is known for award-winning suspense novels, such as "I Know What You Did Last Summer." Few people know she has led a secret second life as a poet. From early childhood, Lois chronicled events of her life in verse. At ten, she began submitting her poetry to magazines. Since then, Lois has written hundreds of magazine articles and forty-eight books. She is the recipient of the "Margaret A. Edwards Award," presented by the American Library Association for an "outstanding contribution to literature for young adults." Renowned as a novelist, she kept her poetry notebooks tucked away in a drawer "like a secret vice." Generations of readers who grew up on "Lois Duncan" books have been urging her to write her autobiography. That task seemed formidable until she began to leaf through those notebooks. There, she found herself in every season of her life-a dreamy child, entranced by fairies and magic; an adolescent, embroiled in turbulent romances; a busy young wife and mother; a heartsick divorcee; a remarried, middle-aged housewife, watching children leave the nest; and then, as a grief-stricken mother, struggling to cling to sanity after the murder of her youngest child. "Seasons of the Heart" is the deeply personal story of an "ordinary woman," told in an extraordinary way. "It was with a strong sense of kinship that I read "Seasons of the Heart." The romanticism of the young girl; the passions, frustrations and heartbreak of motherhood; the quiet joys of aging, all are captured in the deft and disciplined cadence of poetry."-"Lois Lowry, twice winner of the Newbery Award"

Book Description
Lee Ann Roripaugh has been hailed by Ishmael Reed as "one of the brightest talents" writing poetry today. In this collection, she gives voice to the Japanese immigrants of the American West. In an unforgiving land of dirt and sagebrush, mothers labor to teach their children of the ocean, old men are displaced by geography and language, and the ghosts of Hiroshima clamor for peace. Lee Ann Roripaugh's exquisitely crafted poems rise from the pages of Beyond Heart Mountain burdened with memory and pain, yet converting these to powerful art--art that is like "the pattern of kimono found burned into a woman after Hiroshima . . . almost too beautiful, too horrible . . . to bear." Remember to raise bright orbs of rice-paper lanterns by the goldfish pond, so they can watch for me with the yellow, unblinking gaze of nocturnal things . . . --from "Peony Lantern"

Book Description
'Seasons of the Heart' is a book about the joys and pain of life, the poetry of life. We will face many experiences in our lifetime that will at times resemble seasons. Some will bring us great joy like the warmth of spring and summer. Others will settle in like autumn and bring a sense of fulfillment. When winter comes, and it will, our heart will break. But we will endure, we must.Writing the poems in this book has helped me make sense of a difficult childhood, share my feelings about love, marriage, family, loss, faith and hope. The poems in this book are the poetry of my life. This book gives a brief glimpse into my life, into the seasons of my heart. It is not all inclusive but merely a snapshot. I want to share a small part of who I am with you.

Book Description
Season of the Heart is a book of poems written by Bobby Harrell during the youthful years of his life, late 90s and early 2000s. The poems in this collection cover a myriad of emotions, from depression, darkness, love, pain, doubt, self-worth, and other strong emotions that still affect the youth of today. Some of the poems are immature in writing style, and others seem unfinished. Bobby has not written poetry since this time of his life, and it provides a unique picture of the mindset of a youthful boy struggling to find love and belonging. A true look into the seasons of his heart from during the middle and late teenage years and into his early 20s. The hope is that some of the writings will resonate with the youth of today who may share the same feelings with the idea of encouraging them to open up. To discuss these feelings with loved ones, and people they trust. Knowing that there is light at the end of the emotional tunnels.

Book Description
This book is a collection of poems that I have written in the last five years. I hope that my poems are inspiring to others that they may connect or relate to some of the poems on a personal level. The poems I have written touch feelings and emotions that we all have, perhaps one or more of the poems will inspire you to share some goodness with others. Poetry is a beautiful vehicle to communicate our feelings and our thoughts. How we communicate to others is key to understanding how people feel, sometimes we fumble when we try to communicate especially if it's on a personal level. Poetry can help communicate on an eloquent level how we feel about life, love, change, fear, hope, joy and so many more emotions. May you find the collection of poems inside a joy and inspiration.
