Book Description
The first book on Nike's iconic DUNK SB, a mid-rise basketball court staple that has in the last two decades become a colorful (and often irreverent) icon of skate and street wear. Created in 2002, the Nike Dunk was adopted from the court by skateboarders and sneakerheads to become an icon of the streets. An early catalyst to evolving sneaker culture as we know it today, the Nike Dunk has enjoyed a storied legacy of reinvention through numerous iterations and creative collaborations proving to be an integral part of a culture obsessed with sneakers. To celebrate this legacy, Nike SB: The Dunk Book is the first book to present the historical archive of one of the most important shoes ever created. Worn by an ever-growing list of elite riders at competitions all over the world, Nike Dunks are prized as much for their funky, one-of-a-kind designs as well as their high performance. Nike SB: The Dunk Book is filled with stunning images that tell the visual story of Nike SB's most iconic styles. Including Danny Supas, Staple Pigeon Dunks, De La Soul Highs, Paris Dunks, U.N.K.L.Es, and Supreme Dunk SBs, this volume flaunts the signature color-ways and craftsmanship that Nike SBs are known for. Through enlightening anecdotes by the likes of Futura and Paul Rodriguez, readers get intimate accounts of how their favorite sneakers came to be. Also featured are archival images of Nike SB's most recognizable skaters rocking the iconic sneakers, including Eric Koston, Richard Mulder, Grant Taylor, Omar Salazar, Reese Forbes, Brian Anderson, Theotis Beasley, and Daniel Shimizu.

Sb Organoantimony Compounds
Author: Marlies Mirbach
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 3662063123
Category : Science
Languages : en
Pages : 421
Book Description
This fifth volume on organoantimony compounds continues the description of pentavalent antimony compounds and concludes the entire series. The treatment of pentavalent compounds with three Sb-C bonds began in Part 4 with the RSbX type and is now completed with types RSb(X)Y, RR'SbX, RR'Sb(X)Y, 3 2 3 2 2 2 RR'R"SbX (Section 2.5.1) and the corresponding bi- and trinuclear compounds (Sec 2 tions 2.5.2, p.87, and 2.5.3, p. 132). R, R', and R" denote different organic groups bonded through carbon to the antimony atom. X and Y represent inorganic or organic groups that are bonded to antimony by an atom other than carbon. R, X, and/or Y can also be chelating ligands. The remaining part of the volume completeLy covers all pentavalent antimony compounds containing two Sb-C bonds (RSbX, RSb(X)Y, RR'SbX, RR'Sb(X)Y, bi- and tetranucLear 2 3 2 2 3 2 compounds, Chapter 2.6, p. 134) and those containing one Sb-C bond (RSbX, RSb(X)Y, 4 3 RSb(X)Y, bi- and trinucLear compounds, Chapter 2.7, p. 237). These compounds form ad 2 2 ducts with Lewis bases (symbol D) and form many ionic compLexes by the addition of saLts such as amine hydrochLorides (symbol MZ). The adducts and ionic compLexes are described immediately after the parent substances. The volume concludes with an Empirical Formula Index (p. 318) and a Ligand Formula Index (p. 357).

Ti-Sb-Te Phase Change Materials: Component Optimisation, Mechanism and Applications
Author: Min Zhu
Publisher: Springer
ISBN: 9811043825
Category : Technology & Engineering
Languages : en
Pages : 136
Book Description
This book introduces a novel Ti-Sb-Te alloy for high-speed and low-power phase-change memory applications, which demonstrates a phase-change mechanism that differs significantly from that of conventional Ge2Sb2Te5 and yields favorable overall performance. Systematic methods, combined with better material characteristics, are used to optimize the material components and device performance. Subsequently, a phase-change memory chip based on the optimized component is successfully fabricated using 40-nm complementary metal-oxide semiconductor technology, which offers a number of advantages in many embedded applications.

Latino Politics and Arizona’s Immigration Law SB 1070
Author: Lisa Magaña
Publisher: Springer Science & Business Media
ISBN: 1461402964
Category : Social Science
Languages : en
Pages : 179
Book Description
Arizona has one of the fastest growing communities of Latino immigrants in the United States. In response to accusations that the Federal government was hampering the immigration enforcement actions of Arizona police, state Senator Russell Pearce introduced the “Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act.” Better known as SB 1070, the policy allows police officers in Arizona to arrest unauthorized immigrants under the state’s trespassing law. The law also gives officers the latitude to question and detain those that may appear suspicious, which may simply mean that they appear Latino. Under the State’s statute, immigrants can also be criminalized for their mere presence in Arizona. The bill was signed into law on April 23, 2010, which generated a number of immensely complex issues at the local, national and international level The measure has affected an already problematic U.S.-Mexico, bi-national relationship at a time of increased security cooperation between the two countries. Furthermore, former the President of Mexico has criticized the law, issuing travel advisories, and as a sanction, trade between Arizona and Mexico has been reduced. Elected officials across the country called for a variety of economic boycotts and campaigns that would discourage the full implementation of the law. Over fifteen major cities have ended business contracts with Arizona. The State tourism industry has lost almost one billion dollars in less than six months as a result of this policy. This book examines a variety of issues and consequences of SB 1070 at the local, national and international level. It provides timely research and analysis on a topic not previously examined and from a variety of inter disciplinary approaches, making it of interest to political scientists and policy-makers alike.
