Book Description
Rolling Shelter is a personal account of Kelly and Rosana Hart's life in two different buses, three vans, two small motor homes, two travel trailers combined into one house, and two cars. Kelly tells stories of how they traveled through Mexico and Guatemala in a small van and then later developed a splendid home on their llama ranch in the mountains of Oregon. This book will inspire you and give you some ideas for how you might take advantage of vehicles to provide shelter in your life. In full color, the book features over 200 photographs and 5 detailed floor plans. With descriptions of how the conversions were accomplished, it is valuable both as an overview of vehicular dwelling and as a construction manual for how you might convert your own. One of the true joys of living in a vehicle is that it can be moved to new and exciting locations with relative ease. If you like to travel, but prefer to have your own bed and your own kitchen, then consider living in a motor home of some sort. The chapters include: "Our First Bus Home" shows the artistic conversion of a school bus parked on the rugged California coast. "Extra Wheels" describes a versatile step van and a Navy radar van used as a film studio. "Van Dwelling" features a Ford Econoline van equipped for travel into remote places and a VW Vanagon camper. "Juniper Ridge" shows how they made a unique home combining two long travel trailers into one home that could accommodate some of their llamas. "Tortuga & CanDo" were both small Dolphin motor homes built on Toyota trucks. "Here & There" was a full scale conversion of a 40 foot inter-city bus in which they traveled around the western United States.

Book Description
Shelter From The Storm tells the story of Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue, the gypsy caravan troupe that lit up US stages between the fall of 1975 and the bicentennial spring that followed. In the company of Joan Baez, Roger McGuinn, Joni Mitchell, Allen Ginsberg, Ramblin' Jack Elliot, and more, Dylan reinvented the ingenuous troubadour tradition for the cynical 70s - and delivered some of the most thrilling live performances of his career along the way. Throughout this period, however, Dylan's personal life was in meltdown. His tortuous love life would be laid bare in improvised acting scenes filmed for Renaldo & Clara. The movie marked his full debut as a director and was shot as Rolling Thunder navigated between New England towns. The bafflingly edited final cut is perhaps Dylan's most enigmatic and misunderstood work. Musician and author Sid Griffin examines the genesis of Rolling Thunder, the writing and recording of the 1976 album Desire, for which several key ensemble players were first marshaled, and the influences and implications around Renaldo & Clara. In a plethora of new interviews, unique behind-the-scenes accounts, and deconstructions of tour documents such as the NBC television special Hard Rain, Griffin provides new insight into Dylan's most legendary tour and offers unprecedented analysis of the musical torrents that came pouring forth as the Thunder rolled. By the tour's conclusion, both Dylan and the wider music industry were on the verge of significant transformation.

Book Description
Studio environments can be defined as multi-dimensional integrated production spaces where basic design trainings take place and where design issues including theoretical notions such as sociological, political, phenomenological, and other dimensions are discussed. Present approaches within the literature and social media on this topic gives cause for students to evaluate their future professions over finished and pictorial products rather than ontological and processual means. While there are many resources available on the present approaches of aesthetics and visuality of interior spaces, there is not much research available on new design methodologies, related design processes, and new applied methods in interior arcitecture. Based on different contexts, these methods of design practice have the potential to enrich design processes and create multiple discussion platforms within project studios as well as other design media. These different representations and narration methods for research in the context of interior architecture can be effectively used in design processes. The Handbook of Research on Methodologies for Design and Production Practices in Interior Architecture proposes new design methodologies and related design processes and introduces new applied method approaches while presenting alternative methods that have been used within design studios in the field of interior architecture. The chapters deal with four major sections: the design process and interdiciplinary approaches; then scenario development and content; followed by material, texture, and atmosphere; and concluding with new approaches to design. While highlighting topics such as spatial perception, design strategies, architectural atmosphere, and design-thinking, this book is of interest to architects, interior designers, practitioners, stakeholders, researchers, academicians, and students looking for advanced research on the new design metholodologies and processes for interior architecture.

Book Description
Shelter is many things - a visually dynamic, oversized compendium of organic architecture past and present; a how-to book that includes over 1,250 illustrations; and a Whole Earth Catalog-type sourcebook for living in harmony with the earth by using every conceivable material. First published in 1973, Shelter remains a source of inspiration and invention. Including the nuts-and-bolts aspects of building, the book covers such topics as dwellings from Iron Age huts to Bedouin tents to Togo's tin-and-thatch houses; nomadic shelters from tipis to "housecars"; and domes, dome cities, sod iglus, and even treehouses. The authors recount personal stories about alternative dwellings that illustrate sensible solutions to problems associated with using materials found in the environment - with fascinating, often surprising results.

Book Description
Darius had gotten in over his head with his new business, but with a small misunderstanding, he met Paul. After extreme close quarters for several days, Paul learned to trust Darius, and Darius learned he had a new friend and a very knowledgeable business partner. Their biggest asset was a ship like no other. In fact, not only could it travel into deep space but it could jump between dimensions. They thought that they had found the perfect place to mine. While they figured out where they were going to mine, they discovered that there was a large problem that they would have to take care of first. After making friends with the locals of the nearest city, they found out that the locals only run and hide to deal with the night people who terrorized them every night. Darius knew that he would need to find a cure if possible to solve the problem while Paul had a different solution to solve the night people problem. Once all the night people were cleared out and it appeared to be safe, Paul and Darius went about mining the platinum, which was the reason that they had come to this dimension. When their hold was full of platinum, they took it back to Darius's home dimension to trade in. After they have gotten the ship resupplied, they returned to the dimension they were just in to get another hold full of platinum. Little did they know that while they were trying to fill their hold that it would become a race to survive. As they left the dimension with only a partially filled hold the second time, they left with two new crew members.
