Book Description
Recent researches on resource conserving techniques have provided exciting opportunities for improving input-use-efficiency, productivity and sustainability. These techniques include: zero tillage, minimum tillage, rotary tillage, bed planting, surface seeding, laser land leveling, pressurized irrigation systems, system of rice intensification, aerobic rice, soil solarization, residue management, site-specific nutrient management, crop diversification, precision farming emplo-ying use of modern tools and procedures etc. Adoption of these techniques is the need of the hour as a method of 'low-input agriculture' to reduce costs and achieve sustainability in Indian agriculture. This book provides the most updated and comprehensive information on resource conserving techniques for improving crop productivity. The text is divided into 9 sections: (i) Concept and approaches, (ii) Cropping systems and diversification, (iii) Soil use and management, (iv) Improving nutrient use efficiency, (v) Water-saving techniques, (vi) Weed dynamics and herbicide use, (vii) Energy conservation and farm machinery, (viii) Modern tools and approaches, (ix) On-farm testing and evaluation. In each section, there are chapters on specific topics, contributed by eminent scientists, who made notable research contributions in their field of specialization. The chapters have been thoroughly edited and presented in an easily understandable manner.

Book Description
Precision conservation is a reality, and we are moving towards improved effectiveness of conservation practices by accounting for temporal and spatial variability within and off field. This is the first book to cover the application of the principles of precision conservation to target conservation practices across fields and watersheds. It has clearly been established that the 21st century will present enormous challenges, from increased yield demands to climate change. Without improved conservation practices it will not be possible to ensure food security and conservation effectiveness. Readers will appreciate the application of the precision conservation concept to increase conservation effectiveness in a variety of contexts, with a focus on recent advances in technology, methods, and improved results. IN PRESS! This book is being published according to the “Just Published” model, with more chapters to be published online as they are completed.

Book Description
Sustainable crop production is a challenge towards modern agriculture. So, we need to develop and adopt such kind of innovative techniques who can produce more with limited resources, which must be suitable for various crops and cropping systems. As there is a direct relation between tillage and production. The present manuscript is covering some cost effective techniques or agronomic manipulations which may be adopted by farmers under limited resources, which will not only enhance their returns but also an Eco-friendly approach. By doing so we can surly overcome the scarcity of resources like soil, water, air, fuel etc. This book must be helpful for the researchers, scientists, students, farmers and persons engaged or interested in the agricultural activities, with focus on conservation agriculture.

Book Description
Research Paper (postgraduate) from the year 2016 in the subject Business economics - Business Management, Corporate Governance, grade: 4.5, , language: English, abstract: The focus of the research presented in this monograph are the processes of saving resources in agro-industrial production. The author proposes a modern concept of resource conservation management. The research methodology was the clustering of economic objects, econometric modeling, optimization of the structure of resource consumption. The focus of the research presented in this monograph is resource conservation processes in agro-industrial production. The author offers a modern concept of resource conservation management. Research methodology: clustering of economic objects, econometric modeling, optimization of the structure of resource consumption. Based on the typology of economic objects, the following classes of resource consumption are proposed: extensive, intensive, innovation and investment. The extensive type of resource conservation is distinguished by the use of economies of scale in agribusiness. The formation of agricultural holdings and the production of food by an agricultural enterprise within the boundaries of the full value chain leads to resource savings through concentration. The intensive type of facilities is characterized by an increase in specific investment per unit of industry size. This is a higher level of chemicalization, mechanization, and robotization of agricultural production. In modern conditions of environmental trends in life and economy, it is replaced by a natural-adaptive type of resource conservation. Among the features of this type, it is necessary to highlight the adaptation of machinery and equipment in agricultural production to the biological properties of agricultural plants and animals. An innovative type of resource saving is innovations in biotechnology, new resource-saving technology and equipment, and agricultural management. The innovative type is added by the investment type. Investments make it possible to ensure a constant increase in the financial flow in agriculture. When the increase in this flow outstrips the increase in costs, there is a significant resource-saving investment effect. The author of the study revealed a pattern between the emergence of the resource-saving effect and the potential for using resources. The resource-saving effect is observed with the full use of the potential of resources. Special attention is paid to human capital. The dynamics of competencies allows to increase the innovativeness of the team in an agricultural organization. The book is understandable for managers.

Book Description
In large parts of the developed and developing worlds soil tillage by plough or hoe is the main cause of land degradation leading to stagnating or even declining production levels and increasing production cost. It causes the soil to become more dense and compacted, the organic matter content to be reduced and water runoff and soil erosion to increase. It also leads to droughts becoming more severe and the soil becoming less fertile and less responsive to fertiliser. This book brings together the key notes lectures and other outstanding contributions of the I World Congress on Conservation Agriculture and provides an updated view of the environment and economic advantages of CA and of its implementation in diferent areas of the World.
