De nouveaux implants courts sont apparus et dans certains cas Iimites ils pourraient être indiqués dans ces régions, se substituant à d'éventuelles greffes sinusiennes associées à un implant plus long. La difficulté, le cout financier, biologique et temporel de ces dernières laissent parfois à réfléchir. Le but de notre travail est donc de discuter des intérêts de ces deux approches thérapeutiques. Après quelques rappels sur l'os alvéolaire et le sinus et une brève description des principales techniques de greffes sinusiennes et de Ieurs Iimites, nous avons donc défini les implants courts et Ieurs principales caractéristiques. Ensuite nous avons étudié les paramêtres qui pourraient influencer Ie praticien vers une option plutôt qu'une autre. Enfin après avoir citées quelques études nous avons comparé les résultats des deux approches à travers une revue de Iittérature.
