Book Description
It is a desire to be used by God as His instrument to bring wounded souls into wholeness through the shed blood of His Son Jesus, by sharing our brokenness with others. We feel sorrowful but blessed when we discover that God can use all things together for the good of those who love Him. Marilyn Hansen is one to encourage others, while struggling to believe that God could make something beautiful out of her own brokenness. Being obedient to God's call, she writes about how He made the broken pieces of her life whole for His glory. It was as though God were saying, "Marilyn, how do you think the world has seen Me? If it wasn't for your brokenness, I couldn't make you whole. I chose you just the way you are. I have allowed you to be broken to make you whole. Be filled with My Spirit. I only ask that you pour yourself out that others might be made whole." As I look back on my life, I feel very blessed that God could take the broken pieces and use them as a testament of His healing power. I wish He had not had to sacrifice His Son for me, but know I also am a sinner in need of His grace. I wish I had known Him earlier in my life, so I could be obedient to Him and fulfill His plan for my life. But by His grace, He has enabled me to be His servant by ministering to other wounded souls through which I can bring honor and glory to Him. He has taken the broken pieces of my life and made something beautiful for His use. His grace is sufficient in meeting my needs and yours. Let us allow Him to use us that He might be glorified by our willingness to be obedient to Him and fulfilling all He has called us to be. Will you allow God to make you Broken Unto Wholeness so He can take you on a journey that others will see and desire to let Him be seen in you? Your life does make a difference because of how He is glorified in your brokenness.

Book Description
A retired Marine colonel and the lonely, unofficial town matchmaker are thrown together as the fate of the Wounded Warriors Rescue hangs in the balance. Jim Larsen is all set to move home to his family's dairy farm in Wisconsin-what better place to cool his feelings for Kat than in the frozen north. It would be a great plan, too, if only he could leave his broken heart behind in Liberty Cove. He waited too many years for her widow's heart to heal. Now convinced that he'll never compete with the memory of her departed husband, he understands it's time to move on. The drive home will be a lonely one, but not as lonely as the long winter nights ahead of him with nothing but the sound of cattle to keep him company. Kat Davenport has almost run out of smiles. The man she was certain would make a move for her heart, made a move across the country instead, causing her to question everything she thought she knew about love. While still in shock about Jim's sudden departure, she learns that someone on the city council has it in for the Wounded Warrior Rescue. A letter arrives informing her that she's got one month to clear out of the rescue. Zoning laws that haven't mattered to anyone for the past twenty years are now the weapons that threaten to destroy her life's work and the home she's made for the returning veterans who find refuge under her roof. Kat and the rescue boys mobilize to save the rescue, but just as a plan starts to come together, she receives devastating news about Jim... news that brings back haunting memories of the night she lost her husband to a heart attack many years ago. She wants nothing more than to be by Jim's side until she can be sure he'll pull through, but can she risk leaving the rescue in the middle of a crisis knowing she's got a houseful of men and rescue dogs depending on her? Book Description
It's no sin to hurt. Thousands of Christians suffer real emotional pain--such as depression, anxiety, obsessiveness. Many other Christians, including prominent leaders, believe emotional problems are the result of sin or bad choices. These attitudes often only add to the suffering of those who hurt. In this book Dwight Carlson marshals recent scientific evidence that demonstrates many emotional problems are just as physical or biological as diabetes, cancer and heart disease. While he never discounts personal responsibility, Carlson shows from both the Bible and up-to-date medicine why it really is no sin to hurt. Understandably and compellingly, Why Do Christians Shoot Their Wounded? brings profound help for those who hurt and those who counsel. For those who suffer, here is a powerful liberation from guilt. For those who care for the suffering, here is vivid proof that those in emotional pain deserve compassion, not condemnation.

Book Description
Volume 1 Sermons 1-53 Charles Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) is one of the church’s most famous preachers and Christianity’s foremost prolific writers. Called the “Prince of Preachers,” he was one of England's most notable ministers for most of the second half of the nineteenth century, and he still remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations today. His sermons have spread all over the world, and his many printed works have been cherished classics for decades. In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to more than 10 million people, often up to ten times each week. He was the pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel (later the Metropolitan Tabernacle) in London for 38 years. He was an inexhaustible author of various kinds of works including sermons, commentaries, an autobiography, as well as books on prayer, devotionals, magazines, poetry, hymns and more. Spurgeon was known to produce powerful sermons of penetrating thought and divine inspiration, and his oratory and writing skills held his audiences spellbound. Many Christians have discovered Spurgeon's messages to be among the best in Christian literature. Edward Walford wrote in Old and New London: Volume 6 (1878) quoting an article from the Times regarding one of Spurgeon’s meetings at Surrey: “Fancy a congregation consisting of 10,000 souls, streaming into the hall, mounting the galleries, humming, buzzing, and swarming—a mighty hive of bees—eager to secure at first the best places, and, at last, any place at all. After waiting more than half an hour—for if you wish to have a seat you must be there at least that space of time in advance—Mr. Spurgeon ascended his tribune. To the hum, and rush, and trampling of men, succeeded a low, concentrated thrill and murmur of devotion, which seemed to run at once, like an electric current, through the breast of every one present, and by this magnetic chain the preacher held us fast bound for about two hours. It is not my purpose to give a summary of his discourse. It is enough to say of his voice, that its power and volume are sufficient to reach everyone in that vast assembly; of his language, that it is neither high-flown nor homely; of his style, that it is at times familiar, at times declamatory, but always happy, and often eloquent; of his doctrine, that neither the 'Calvinist' nor the 'Baptist' appears in the forefront of the battle which is waged by Mr. Spurgeon with relentless animosity, and with Gospel weapons, against irreligion, cant, hypocrisy, pride, and those secret bosom-sins which so easily beset a man in daily life; and to sum up all in a word, it is enough to say of the man himself, that he impresses you with a perfect conviction of his sincerity.” More than a hundred years after his death, Charles Spurgeon’s legacy continues to effectively inspire the church around the world. For this reason, Delmarva Publications has chosen to publish the complete works of Charles Spurgeon.
