Introducción: El presente trabajo de grado, plantea el diseño de una propuesta de mejora logística para la empresa GOMEZ ABAD DISTRIBUCIONES (EL ESPECTADOR CONCESIONARIO AUTORIZADO) ubicada en el departamento de Risaralda que se considera parte del triángulo de Oro de Colombia, ya que es uno de los lugares logísticos más estratégicos por su posición, permitiendo una alta conectividad con todo el país. La empresa está dedicada a la distribución y comercialización del periódico el Espectador como su principal producto. Además de revistas de interés general como Semana, Tv y Novelas Jet Set, Soho, Vea, Gente, National Geographic, Selecciones, etc. Contando con un proceso logístico que los ha hecho perdurar en el tiempo. La oportunidad de hacer esta propuesta de mejoramiento se debe a la necesidad de esta empresa debido a que en la actualidad tiene problemas como reproceso, inconformidades de los clientes, planeación parcial del proceso logístico, etc. Por otra parte, para el estudiante de Tecnología Industrial que hace parte del proyecto es de gran importancia porque le permite experimentar y adquirir conocimientos de gran valor en el campo laboral para su formación profesional y enfatizar en el proceso logístico permitiendo a su vez ser más competitivo en el ámbito laboral y contribuir al desarrollo de esta empresa. Esta propuesta permitirá contribuir al mejoramiento de la misma en términos de buenas prácticas logísticas, ya que al tener procesos eficientes que satisfagan al cliente, se generarán oportunidades que impacten positivamente a la empresa. Por esta razón es importante evaluar los procesos de alistamiento y distribución para identificar posibles debilidades y proponer soluciones que generen mayor rentabilidad para la organización.

A manifesto for a radically different philosophy and practice of manufacture and environmentalism "Reduce, reuse, recycle" urge environmentalists; in other words, do more with less in order to minimize damage. But as this provocative, visionary book argues, this approach perpetuates a one-way, "cradle to grave" manufacturing model that dates to the Industrial Revolution and casts off as much as 90 percent of the materials it uses as waste, much of it toxic. Why not challenge the notion that human industry must inevitably damage the natural world? In fact, why not take nature itself as our model? A tree produces thousands of blossoms in order to create another tree, yet we do not consider its abundance wasteful but safe, beautiful, and highly effective; hence, "waste equals food" is the first principle the book sets forth.
