Les politiques de soutien peuvent prendre la forme de dispositions favorables aux jeunes pousses innovantes et aux structures financières capables de les accompagner. Il peut également s'agir de mesures facilitant les réorganisations nécessaires pour profiter pleinement des bienfaits des TIC, de cadres réglementaires et institutionnels favorisant les relations entre recherche scientifique et industrie, d'efforts de formation et de recrutement des ressources humaines adaptées, ou bien encore d'un soutien public à la recherche scientifique fondamentale. A défaut d'être exhaustive, cette étude franchit une nouvelle étape dans la compréhension des conditions propices à la prospérité.
