Book Description
The proof-of-concept model for ALAP demonstrates the feasibility of equating Army measures of OPTEMPO, maintenance rates, and funding levels to sustainment capability. Synergy's ALAP shows that we can link weapon system readiness to sustainability given current and future programmed budget positions to create a viable POM and PPBES decision support tool. This model also supports the hypothesized outcome of current funding levels affecting future capabilities to successfully prosecute combat missions and contingency operations.

Book Description
This Note describes a conceptual design for Army Logistics Assessment--Extended (ALA-X), a methodology for assessing the readiness and sustainability of the U.S. Army. The methodology is intended for use in the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting process, so that those parts of the Army program dealing with logistics functions and resources can be better prepared and justified. The ALA-X methodology will relate resources among 38 categories of logistics resources to specific measures of combat capability and will treat them simultaneously so that tradeoffs and substitutions can be performed.

Book Description
This Task Assignment Plan explains how Synergy will fulfill the HQ USA/DALO-RMI requirement for the development of an Army Readiness Model. The model will assess peacetime readiness expected as a result of past, current, and projected Investment Variables (Reparable buy and Repair funding streams) and Noninvestment Variables (Crewing, Staffing, Utilization). The Army model will be an adaptation of the Funding/Availability Multi-Method Allocation for Spares model (FAMMAS) used extensively by both HQ U.S. Air Force and Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC).

Book Description
Department of the Army Pamphlet DA PAM 700-28 Independent Logistics Assessments July 2019 provides a standard framework for assessing the status and/or health of the logistics program in preparation for key milestone decision reviews in the materiel acquisition process. The use of this pamphlet provides guidance for uniform independent logistics assessments (ILAs) across all commodity types (for example; Major Automated Information System (MAIS), combat vehicles, aircraft, electronic, or training equipment) thereby reducing subjectivity in the process. This guidance may be applied to any Acquisition Category (ACAT) program; however, each ILA criterion should be carefully tailored to individual program requirements. This pamphlet is intended for use by personnel involved in systems acquisition, materiel fielding or materiel transfer. The primary authority for conducting ILAs is derived from AR 700-127. While certain aspects of computer resources support are covered by this pamphlet, the use of general purpose information management area (IMA) nondevelopmental item (NDI) equipment, services, and systems that are not embedded in or integral to a materiel system fall under the purview of AR 25-1. The IMA includes the disciplines of automation, telecommunications, records management, printing and publishing, and visual information.
