Book Description
A collection of high-resolution, precision simultaneous sound speed and temperature profiles to 2200m depth, and their envelopes for each station is presented for 25 stations in Bermudian waters in the months of October, December and March. The period October to March covers the full range of large seasonal changes in the near-surface waters from summer to winter, while the deep waters remain relatively stable and do not show any definite seasonal changes. For two long constant depth stations, in and below the main thermocline, time series and their power density spectra are shown for sound speeds and temperatures. A table of sound channel parameters at all stations concludes the report. The report emphasizes the variability and short-lived phenomena in oceanic waters around Bermuda. (Author).

Book Description
The report covers a 31-hour anchor station in the Tongue of the Ocean, in extremely calm weather. 34 consecutive, detailed, high-precision profiles and their 10, 20 and 31-hour envelopes are presented for both sound speed and temperature, from the sea surface to the bottom; and the graphs showing the gradual changes of constant sound speed and isotherm depths. The sound speed and temperature structure is found to be relatively stable, as in the open ocean. Small, rapid variations abound in the thermocline region; a slight slow rise in deep isotherms occurs, but no tidal effects can be seen. The ship's motions at anchor are described: a composite of diurnal east-west and semidiurnal north-south oscillations. Results of a derivation of salinity from sound speed - temperature - depth data are shown to be in good agreement with published data. (Author).

Book Description
High precision, high resolution sound speed and temperature profile sequences are presented for 7 near-synoptic stations in the Anegada passage region; 8 near-synoptic stations in the deep passages adjoining Martinique (St. Lucia and Dominica channels); and 4 stations in the Atlantic about a degree east of the Antillean islands. Microstructure of the waters and short-time variability are emphasized. (Author).

Book Description
Detailed, consecutive sound speed and temperature profiles to 2300 m depth, and profile envelopes for each station, are presented for 26 multi- profile stations: 5 in the Canary Islands; and a near-synoptic series of 21 on a track Canaries - Gibraltar - Bay of Biscay. Sound speed, temperature and salinity (calculated from sound speed, temperature and depth) cross sections for the Canaries - Bay of Biscay part are also presented. A discussion of the spreading of Mediterranean waters from Gibraltar, and the accompanying changes in the sound speed structure is included. Occasional large cells of Mediterranean water reach this area without mixing: one such cell is described.

Book Description
A collection of high-precision detailed consecutive sound velocity - depth profiles of the sound channel in the ocean is presented from 17 Stations in the Bermuda - Barbados area for November and December 1963. The data is displayed both in the form of families of individual profiles, with time information; and as composite envelopes for each station, emphasizing the total spread at each site. A short description of the most salient features is given. (Author).

Book Description
A collection of consecutive, detailed sound velocity profiles from 20 stations in the Bermuda-Barbados-Puerto Rico area is presented together with composite profile envelopes of sound velocity, and temperature for each station. These stations were taken during the months of April to July. The report emphasizes the variability of the sound channel, and its dependence on geographical location. A number of cell-like water masses, differing from the norm at the site, are pointed out. Since a number of stations included in this report were taken at sites investigated during a cruise 4 months earlier, a comparison of the sound channel parameters for November-December and April-May is included. The 4-month changes at these sites are found to be of about the same order of magnitude as short-term variations over each station alone. This report is a direct sequel to VOLUME I. of this series. (Author).
