Based on 100 interviews with research and industry representatives across 10 sectors, this publication formulates recommendations on large-scale surveys to measure organisational innovations. A key recommendation is the inclusion in the European Innovation Scoreboard of the organisational innovations that strengthen product innovation, thus obtaining a direct link between input and output indicators.

Under a framework in which technology and organizational innovation are markedly separated, this book advances knowledge on the topic by exploring the antecedents of a firm’s adoption of organizational innovation and its performance consequences.
