Book Description
This book is an account of the psychology of romantic love in the context of a theory of emotions. The account develops out of studies in brain psychology and the extension to topics in process-philosophy, such as the nature of value and belief, and the central role of feeling in mental process. The approach is subjectivist, that is, from the internal standpoint, and in this respect it differs greatly from the externalist and objectivist trends in modern cognitive science and empiricist philosophy. Love is the ultimate in value, so that a theory of love is also a theory of the nature of value and its relation to feeling, belief, and to drive and desire. The role of intention, reason, and appraisal is critiqued. The relation to other feelings, such as jealousy, envy, anger, loss and grief is discussed in terms of a general theory of emotion and the basis in a process account of the mind/brain state.

Book Description
Although forgotten until quite recently, Caryll Houselander, who died in 1954, was a sensitive and profound English Roman Catholic writer on Christian spirituality. In this critical edition of her 1949 book The Passion of the Infant Christ, Houselander argues that the physical world is an "inscaped" revelation of the mind of the Creator. Every concrete object and every temporal event mirrors the eternal, just as the circumstances surrounding the birth of Jesus mirror the circumstances surrounding his death and resurrection. Editor Kerry Walters discusses both Houselander's life and the primary themes of The Passion of the Infant Christ in his introduction to this critical edition of one of Houselander's most insightful books.

Book Description
This book can change your life. It provides information about the political behavioral practices in the governance of many church organizations and the spiritual implications of these practices. While it is about information, it is more about spiritual transformation in beholding and knowing Christ as your Model Leader. “Church Politics: Spiritual Lessons for 21st Century Leaders is a painful— excruciatingly painful, deeply troubling, disconcerting but necessary and cathartic read. There were points which brought tears to my eyes, as the graphic examples highlighted were all-too-familiar to me as a Pastor. No sensitive, reflective soul who reads this work can be untouched. This is a work which should be read by all Pastors and those in ministerial administration. It is urgent wake-up call to us in ministry. It is a prophetic work, delivered with a cogency that is as chilling as it is irresistible. None can emerge unscathed, thinking “Thanks God I am not like one of these persons!” Which itself would be incriminating evidence that “thou art the man.” Walker and O’Reggio have done a service to the Christian Church—of all denominations and hue. Read, weep, repent and resolve!” -Ian Boyne, Host of Religious Hard Talk, Television Jamaica
