Book Description
This is the first full survey of the work of fashion designer Ossie Clark - a key figure in 1960s and 1970s London. His golden era lasted from the mid 60s to the mid 70s, when fashion, photography, art and music all flourished as never before in the glamorous world of 'Swinging London'. Endlessly innovative, Ossie Clark brought street style to London's most fashionable people. A 'master cutter', he was also a celebrity in his own right, numbering among his friends David Hockney, Patrick Proctor, Mick and Bianca Jagger, Patti Boyd and George Harrison. His collaboration with his wife, the textile designer Celia Birtwell, saw the blossoming of a new young and exciting era for British fashion. Drawing on interviews with Celia Birtwell, models and friends, and on exclusive audio archives featuring Ossie himself, Judith Watt brings to life the vibrant and artistic milieu in which his talent flourished. Vogue fashion shoots and photos of some of the famous names of the day - Jean Shrimpton, Twiggy, Veruschka, Amanda Lear - combine with stunning new photography of iconic outfits and the wonderfully vibrant sketches produced by Ossie and Celia. This long-overdue celebration of Clark's work re-established him as a major force in recent fashion history and this paperback edition will be welcomed by fashion-lovers and students alike.

Book Description
The diaries of Ossie Clark, one of the most influential names in post-war British fashion. He created exquisite and outrageous costumes for the famous of London, New York, Paris and Rome, many of whom became his friends: Mick Jagger, Marianne Faithfull, Anita Pallenberg, Twiggy, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Andy Warhol. At the peak of his career he enjoyed superstar status (Hockney painted him in 1971). He was the archetypal flawed genius, living a jet-set life for ten years, but finally falling due to his lack of business acumen and his undisciplined talent. He was bankrupt by the early 1980s and his marraige to Celia Birtwell, Hockney's muse, had foundered because of his affairs with men. In his last few years he became interested in Buddhism and lived in a small council flat in Holland Park where he was murdered by his lover in 1996.

"Students of fashion design are eager to explore the history of their chosen field as well as keep up with new and emerging designers. Who's Who in Fashion captures the energy, drama, and excitement of the luminaries who make up the world of fashion. Profiles include design philosophies, mentors, and sources of inspiration, tracing the careers of many of the men and women who have contributed to fashion. Not only are today's major figures and legendary designers of the past profiled, but lesser-known individuals and newcomers worth watching are included as well. Also included are the interesting nonconformists--free spirits who prefer to work off the main fashion path. The picture would not be complete without the style-makers, those with an instinct and an eye for fashion, who interpret it for the public: the editors, photographers, and artists"--

Book Description
A chilling and intense first novel, this is the story of a solitary young woman drawn into an online world run by a charismatic web guru who entices her into impersonating a glamorous but desperate woman. When Leila discovers the website Red Pill, she feels she has finally found people who understand her. A sheltered young woman raised by her mother, Leila has often struggled to connect with the girls at school; but on Red Pill, a chat forum for ethical debate, Leila comes into her own, impressing the website's founder, a brilliant and elusive man named Adrian. Leila is thrilled when Adrian asks to meet her, and is flattered when he invites her to be part of "Project Tess." Tess is a woman Leila might never have met in real life. She is beautiful, urbane, witty, and damaged. As they email, chat, and Skype, Leila becomes enveloped in the world of Tess, learning every single thing she can about this other woman--because soon, Leila will have to become her. An ingeniously plotted novel of stolen identity, Kiss Me First is brilliantly frightening about the lies we tell--to ourselves, and to others, for good, and for ill.

I Dreamed I Married Perry Mason is the debut novel in a hip, sexy, smart and, yes, cozy mystery series with a great hook. Think Sex and the City collides with Murder, She Wrote. All that writer Cece Caruso really wants to do is complete her biography of mystery legend Erle Stanley Gardner, find a vintage 1970s Ossie Clark gown to add to her collection, and fix the doorknob on her picturesque West Hollywood bungalow. Then a chance visit with a prison inmate who knew Gardner lands her right in the middle of a 40–year–old murder and another case where the blood is still warm. In fact, Cece finds the body. This brings her into irresistible contact with her inner personal sleuth and shows how crime and greed can reverberate through several generations of a single family.
