Book Description
Welcome to Neuropedia | The Deblocking Method This method accelerates learning 3 to 5 times more than any conventional method. It has several positive by-products, such as psychotherapeutic and psycho-hygienic effects in the "Suggestopedic environment" created in the classroom. During my years of teaching English as a Foreign Language, I could never accept the fact that my students needed so many years to start speaking a new language with confidence. Some others, even with years of study and dedication, could not develop, despite my efforts to create better classes and activities. Others had to constantly review the verb "to be". The results? The students were afraid of speaking and learning. Many people may ask: "But how can it be possible to learn effectively in a short time? What's the secret?" Others say: "That's impossible! It is just propaganda!" But actually, we are beings with an incredible power to learn, but the "Social Suggestive Norms" so present in our pedagogical system for centuries dictate how much we can learn and how long we need to. But I ask you: "How did we learn our mother language? How could our brain collect, organize, understand, and reproduce words and sentences when we were children?" No one went to school to learn to speak. Our parents or who may have raised us never taught us grammar in order to make us speak. We can realize that we are missing something in our system of foreign language teaching. It does not use the resources available in our brain/mind. Our way of teaching in the present is not structured to follow the way the brain receives stores and processes information. So, why not change the whole system? The answer is quite simple. Who wants to train teachers? Change textbooks and methods? How long would it take? But the fact is that more scientists are discovering the mysteries of mind and memory. We are taking advantage of these discoveries made centuries and decades ago. Researchers have noticed that the current pedagogic system is not the best approach to learn. That's why so many so-called accelerated learning systems or brain-friendly approaches have appeared. The main problem is that most of them have never been really tested. They have not had a follow-up for decades to check if they would be beneficial to the students. Neuropedia is a method with a scientific background.

Book Description
Our Season 2 starts when Bob, Johnny, and Stephanie received a call from D.C., to get help from Agent Sawyer, Bob´s uncle. They will need to use federal resources to decode that letter...something impossible even for an FBI agent with friends in high places, This English textbook is based on the theoretical development of Neuropedia™ and the newest developments of neuroscience applied in foreign language learning. The material reflects the theory of Neuropedia™ in its entirety; the global and artistic approaches; when grammar and lexicology are repeated in intervals and reviewed to exploit the psychological spacing effect; the presentation of the study material to students in a specific time frame, as a minimum, at least 2 to 3 times more material in volume than the existing established norm by other methodologies; the Theory of Globality where the material taught cannot be separated from the element and its whole, and never taught and learned in an isolated mode. For example words, grammar, etc., do not exist separately from the language; they are part of the discourse. Each global conglomerate is part of a larger global conglomerate and thus it goes on ad infinitum. Finally, the book reflects the Golden Proportion, its beauty and balance, and the use of classical art and its aesthetics. During the foreign language teaching according to the principles of Neuropedia™, there is simultaneous activation of the left and right hemispheres of the brain, although in varying degrees. Students report a feeling of pleasant learning while they develop creative memory through logical-emotional and conscious-paraconscious activities in class. Book Description
A garden of geologic delights for all Earthlings Geopedia is a trove of geologic wonders and the evocative terms that humans have devised to describe them. Featuring dozens of entries—from Acasta gneiss to Zircon—this illustrated compendium is brimming with lapidary and lexical insights that will delight rockhounds and word lovers alike. Geoscientists are magpies for words, and with good reason. The sheer profusion of minerals, landforms, and geologic events produced by our creative planet demands an immense vocabulary to match. Marcia Bjornerud shows how this lexicon reflects not only the diversity of rocks and geologic processes but also the long history of human interactions with them. With wit and warmth, she invites all readers to celebrate the geologic glossary—a gallimaufry of allusions to mythology, imports from diverse languages, embarrassing anachronisms, and recent neologisms. This captivating book includes cross-references at the end of each entry, inviting you to leave the alphabetic trail and meander through it like a river. Its pocket-friendly size makes it the perfect travel companion no matter where your own geologic forays may lead you. With whimsical illustrations by Haley Hagerman, Geopedia is a mix of engaging and entertaining facts about how the earth works, how it has coevolved with life over billions of years, and how our understanding of the planet has deepened over time. Features a cloth cover with an elaborate foil-stamped design
