Book Description
Discover the real power of Spring Framework 5.0 and learn to create powerful applications in its newest version Key Features Learn reactive programming by implementing a reactive application with Spring Webflux Create a robust and scalable messaging application with Spring messaging support Apply your knowledge to build three real-world projects in Spring Book Description With growing demands, organizations are looking for systems that are robust and scalable. Therefore, the Spring Framework has become the most popular framework for Java development. It not only simplifies software development but also improves developer productivity. This book covers effective ways to develop robust applications in Java using Spring. The book has three parts, where each one covers the building of a comprehensive project in Java and Spring. In the first part, you will construct a CMS Portal using Spring's support for building REST APIs. You will also learn to integrate these APIs with AngularJS and later develop this application in a reactive fashion using Project Reactor, Spring WebFlux, and Spring Data. In the second part, you’ll understand how to build a messaging application, which will consume the Twitter API and perform filtering and transformations. Here, you will also learn about server-sent events and explore Spring’s support for Kotlin, which makes application development quick and efficient. In the last part, you will build a real microservice application using the most important techniques and patterns such as service discovery, circuit breakers, security, data streams, monitoring, and a lot more from this architectural style. By the end of the book, you will be confident about using Spring to build your applications. What you will learn Implement REST APIs with Spring REST support Introduce the Spring Boot and understand how it makes creating robust applications extremely simple Understand how Spring Data helps us add persistence in MongoDB and SQL databases Introduce Reactive Programming and use this with Spring Webflux Implement a Reactive REST client and learn how it can create asynchronous applications Create a robust, scalable, and fault tolerant application with Spring Messaging Implement a websocket to add interactive behaviors in your applications Introduce the Spring Cloud projects Who this book is for If you’re a developer starting out with Spring, then this book will help you learn about the new Spring 5.0 framework concepts followed by their implementation in Java and Kotlin. The book will also help experienced Spring developers gain insights into the new features added in Spring 5.0.

Use of Force
Author: Arthur Mark Weisburd
Publisher: Penn State Press
ISBN: 0271043016
Category : Law
Languages : en
Pages : 418
Book Description
This book is among the few to develop in detail the proposition that international law on the subject of interstate force is better derived from practice than from treaties. Mark Weisburd assembles here a broad body of evidence to support practice-based rules of law on the subject of force. Analyses of a particular use of force by a state against another state generally begin with the language of the Charter of the United Nations. This approach is seriously flawed, argues Weisburd. States do not, in fact, behave as the Charter requires. If the legal rule regulating the use of force is the rule of the Charter, then law is nearly irrelevant to the interstate use of force. However, treaties like the Charter are not the only source of public international law. Customary law, too, is binding on states. If state behavior can be shown to conform generally to what amount to tacit rules on the use of force, and if states generally enforce such rules against other states, then the resulting pattern of practice strongly supports the argument that the use of force is affected by law at a very practical level. This work aims to demonstrate that such patterns exist and to explain their content. Weisburd discusses over one hundred interstate conflicts that took place from 1945 through 1991. He focuses on the behavior of the states using force and on the reaction of third parties to the use of force. He concentrates upon state practice rather than upon treaty law and does not assume a priori that any particular policy goal can be attributed to the international legal system, proceeding instead on the assumption that the system's goals can be determined only by examining the workings of the system.

Book Description
April Davis totally has her life in order. Ha! Not really. Yes, she's the Calm Mom--a social influencer with a reputation for showing moms how to stay calm and collected through yoga--but behind the scenes, she's barely holding it all together. Raising tiny humans alone is exhausting, but that's just the chewed-up cherry on the melted sundae of her life. Her kids aren't behaving, her husband left her for his skydiving instructor, and her top knot proves she hasn't showered in days. Then a live video of the "always calm" April goes viral...and she's most definitely not. Enter Jack Gibson, April's contact at the media conglomerate that has purchased April's brand. The too-sexy-for-his-own good Jack will help clean up April's viral mess, and even work with her to expand her influence, but toddler tea parties and a dog with a penchant for peeing on his shoes were definitely not part of the deal. Now April's calm has jumped ship quicker than her kids running from their vegetables. Not to mention, the sparks flying between her and Jack have her completely out of her depth. Forget finding her calm--April's going to need a boatload of margaritas just to find her way back to herself again. Each book in the Mommy Wars series is STANDALONE:* Rachel, Out of Office* There's Something About Molly* April May Fall* Everything's Fine, Emmaline
