Book Description
My Luck in the Blind Girl is about a girl from a remote village who was very keen on education. Gifted both mentally and physically, she became the love of the village. She was also honest, respectful, and devoted to her Christian faith. Suddenly, her life became twisted when an incident left her blind. But in blindness, she did not give up her purpose. Her desire for education remained high. She struggled to get a pair of glasses to aid her sight and went back to school. Though she came from a wretched home, she was determined to be educated. The threatening poverty did not deter her, even though it affected her siblings. In another town, there lived a boy in a similar financial circumstance. The poverty his family faced was even worse than hers. The boy was brilliant, so much so that his parents were ready to go naked just to see him through his education. Yet they lived in abject poverty, a state of life that made the rest of the village stigmatize them. The boy and the girl meet during registration after each earned admission into a polytechnic and a chance to rise above their circumstances. From that moment, his luck and hers are intertwined through the blessings of God and the worldly travails that threaten to come between them.

Laughter at My Window
Author: Blake Parker
Publisher: Trafford Publishing
ISBN: 1426964757
Category : Performing Arts
Languages : en
Pages : 302
Book Description
This is a collection of Blake Parkers songs. Blake was a spoken word artist, performance poet, writer, lecturer, graphic designer, multi media artist and collaborator, known for his improvisation and evocative voice. As a teenager in the 50s, Blake was strongly influenced by the Beat poets who came before him. His lively, experimental spoken word projects reflect a mature yet quirky genre that is one of the predecessors of todays rap and hip hop. As part of the populist spoken word movement, his work aspires to an integration of high art & low entertainment. Blake worked with many musicians using his words and voice as instrument. At home, Blake played guitar, mostly the blues, constantly making up songs which were rarely part of his performance poetry. There were many variations and improvisations, the music was fluid and only some had more fixed ideas with chords. During the last years with a terminal diagnosis, Blake started to collate the songs, in hopes that other musicians and singers would keep them in the world. Blake Parkers blues, country and gospel songs are a mixture of profound, inspiring, and humorous lyrics ready to be put to music and sung. Check his website www.blakeparker.ca

Erotic Books of Our Naughty Ancestors vol.15
Author: Igor Boyko
Publisher: Aegitas
ISBN: 0369410769
Category : Fiction
Languages : en
Pages : 789
Book Description
We are proud to present the next book of a 20-volume edition of classics of the erotic genre published before World War II. A total of 104 titles are included, most of them from the pen of authors who, for obvious reasons, wished to conceal their real names. This approach, on the other hand, allowed them to give free reins to their unbridled imagination and go wild, so that the eroticism in their works is at times over the top, remaining the benchmark for the authors of contemporary obscene books. Just do not try to repeat the described feats at home. Well, not all of them. We've warned you. =================================== Suburban Souls: The Erotic Psychology of a Man and a Maid (by Anonymous – Jacky S) The Confessions of Nemesis Hunt (by George Reginald Baccus) The Life and Amours of the Beautiful, Gay and Dashing Kate Percival, The Belle of the Delaware (written by herself) Birch in the Boudoir (by Anonymous)
