Book Description
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33b, NIV) I could not understand the cruelty of this world, or why I even needed to endure it...until I came to know Christ and my understanding was changed. Before I knew Him I grew up in an abusive environment, believed in Buddhism, was an alcoholic, was a single parent, but worst of all, I thought I was nothing more than a piece of rubbish. I made countless wrong decisions, endured terrible relationships, and I thought I could change my life with my own hands. But in the end I had to accept that I was hopeless. But then, Jesus came and met me just as He came to the woman at the well (John 4) He showed Himself to me and in His power He healed me in a miraculous way! In one second, the damage that I had brought to my body was fixed as though I were brand new. Jesus has continuously shown me His glory, giving me an understanding of life and carrying me through mountains and seas. As I have walked along the path toward Christ, He has proved through my life that the word of God is true and never fails. He has proved that God is love and He is alive. Now I no longer believe that I am rubbish, or that I am unworthy, unloved, or hopeless. Instead I know that I have been reborn into a new creation and I know that I am made to be His rose and His pearl. This may be my life story, but it is His Testimony and I pray that it brings hope to your life!

Isaiah in the Book of Mormon
Author: Donald W. Parry
Publisher: Maxwell Institute
ISBN: 9780934893299
Category : Bible
Languages : en
Pages : 0
Book Description
Of Isaiah' prophetic writings, the resurrected Lord taught, "Search these things diligently; for great are the words of Isaiah" (3 Nephi 32:1). Yet no chapters in the Book of Mormon are more difficult to understand than the Isaiah passages quoted by Nephi, Jacob, Abinadi, and Christ himself. The 17 essays in Isaiah in the Book of Mormon take a variety of approaches in seeking to help readers make the most of Isaiah's teachings. The contributing scholars draw on the Book of Mormon prophets as knowledgeable guides, examining how and why those ancient writers used and interpreted Isaiah's prophetic teachings. They explain Nephi's keys for understanding the great prophet, use historical and linguistic information to clarify his meanings, examine recurring themes, and reflect on the influence of these texts on ancient and modern saints.

ISBN:
Category : Religion
Languages : en
Pages : 29
Book Description
About the Book The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs 3:5-6 to trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. After walking with God for some years and experiencing God’s blessings in leading and guiding her from a young lady into an older woman, Barbara McNear felt that this book of her testimonies could be a blessing to others. In The Testimony of God’s Guidance of My Life, Barbara McNear shares her experiences of seeking God for a husband in the late 60s when the Vietnam War was being fought, and many of the young men her age were killed in the war. In spite of that, McNear still prayed to God for a husband. She wanted to know by revelation when she met her God-given husband, that he would be the one she should marry. God has directed McNear as to which jobs to take over the years, and He will do the same for you. God is faithful and will guide you all the way. About the Author Barbara McNear was born and raised in West Hermondale, Missouri. She graduated from Washington High School in Caruthville, Missouri, and attended business school at O.I.C.
