Book Description
Patrice Gopo grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, the child of Jamaican immigrants who had little experience being black in America. From her white Sunday school classes as a child, to her early days of marriage in South Africa, to a new home in the American South with a husband from another land, Patrice’s life is a testament to the challenges and beauty of the world we each live in, a world in which cultures overlap every day. In All the Colors We Will See, Patrice seamlessly moves across borders of space and time to create vivid portraits of how the reality of being different affects her quest to belong. In this poetic and often courageous collection of essays, Patrice examines the complexities of identity in our turbulent yet hopeful time of intersecting heritages. As she digs beneath the layers of immigration questions and race relations, Patrice also turns her voice to themes such as marriage and divorce, the societal beauty standards we hold, and the intricacies of living out our faith. With an eloquence born of pain and longing, Patrice’s reflections guide us as we consider our own journeys toward belonging, challenging us to wonder if the very differences dividing us might bring us together after all.

Book Description
Fans of Pamela Kelley and Robyn Carr will love this small-town, feel-good romance! Shona Milligan makes beautiful quilts, stitched with love, for her eager customers. After a tragic accident six years ago, she has rebuilt her life and is creating a brighter future for herself and her son. When she sees the cottages on Anchor Lane being remodeled into small businesses, she’s intrigued by their pretty exteriors and unlimited potential. Risking everything she owns, she signs the lease on the third cottage and opens a quilting store like no other. Joseph Adams is passionate about the tiny home revolution taking Montana by storm. He works tirelessly to provide safe and warm houses for people who would otherwise be living on the street. He’s happy with his life and proud of his young daughter, but something is missing. And he’s too scared to face what it is. After a bitter divorce, the last thing he wants is to be attracted to another woman. But, when he meets Shona, the walls around his heart start to crumble. She’s everything he never expected to find. But with joy comes pain, and Joseph doesn’t know if he can ever give his heart to another woman. THE COZY QUILT SHOP is the third book in The Cottages on Anchor Lane series and can easily be read as a stand-alone. All of Leeanna's series are linked. If you find a character you like, they could be in another novel. Praise for Leeanna Morgan's books: “I am addicted to Leeanna Morgan's books! The only problem with them is that I hate coming to the end of one, and can't wait for the next good read. I love how she weaves the characters together and draws you right into their lives. If you haven't discovered her, please do give her books a try. You won't be disappointed, except for not having found her sooner!” “I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I couldn't put it down. I purchased it today and finished it just now. Captivating story from beginning to end. Definitely a five-star book.” Other Novels by Leeanna Morgan: The Bridesmaids Club: Book 1: All of Me (Tess and Logan) Book 2: Loving You (Annie and Dylan) Book 3: Head Over Heels (Sally and Todd) Book 4: Sweet on You (Molly and Jacob) The Bridesmaids Club: Books 1-3 Emerald Lake Billionaires: Book 1: Sealed with a Kiss (Rachel and John) Book 2: Playing for Keeps (Sophie and Ryan) Book 3: Crazy Love (Holly and Daniel) Book 4: One And Only (Elizabeth and Blake) Emerald Lake Billionaires: Books 1-3 The Protectors: Book 1: Safe Haven (Hayley and Tank) Book 2: Just Breathe (Kelly and Tanner) Book 3: Always (Mallory and Grant) Book 4: The Promise (Ashley and Matthew) The Protectors Boxed Set: Books 1-3 Montana Promises: Book 1: Coming Home (Mia and Stan) Book 2: The Gift (Hannah and Brett) Book 3: The Wish (Claire and Jason) Book 4: Country Love (Becky and Sean) Montana Promises Boxed Set: Books 1-3 Sapphire Bay: Book 1: Falling For You (Natalie and Gabe) Book 2: Once In A Lifetime (Sam and Caleb) Book 3: A Christmas Wish (Megan and William) Book 4: Before Today (Brooke and Levi) Book 5: The Sweetest Thing (Cassie and Noah) Book 6: Sweet Surrender (Willow and Zac) Sapphire Bay Boxed Set: Books 1-3 Sapphire Bay Boxed Set: Books 4-6 Santa’s Secret Helpers: Book 1: Christmas On Main Street (Emma and Jack) Book 2: Mistletoe Madness (Kylie and Ben) Book 3: Silver Bells (Bailey and Steven) Book 4: The Santa Express (Shelley and John) Book 5: Endless Love (The Jones Family) Santa’s Secret Helpers Boxed Set: Books 1-3 Return To Sapphire Bay: The Lakeside Inn (Penny and Wyatt) Summer At Lakeside (Diana and Ethan) A Lakeside Thanksgiving (Barbara and Theo) Christmas At Lakeside (Katie and Peter) The Cottages on Anchor Lane: The Flower Cottage (Paris and Richard) The Starlight Café (Andrea and David) The Cozy Quilt Shop (Shona and Joseph) A Stitch in Time (Jackie and Aidan)

Book Description
This book is intended as a systemic functional contribution to language typology both for those who would like to understand and describe particular languages against the background of generalizations about a wide range of languages and also for those who would like to develop typological accounts that are based on and embody descriptions of the systems of particular languages (rather than isolated constructions). The book is a unique contribution in at least two respects. On the one hand, it is the first book based on systemic functional theory that is specifically concerned with language typology. On the other hand, the book combines the particular with the general in the description of languages: it presents comparable sketches of particular languages while at the same time identifying generalizations based on the languages described here as well as on other languages. The volume explores eight languages, covering seven language families: French, German, Pitjantjatjara, Tagalog, Telugu, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese.

"Thrilling and illuminating."—LA Times "A hypnotic psychological thriller." —People A chance encounter sparks an unrelenting web of lies in this new gripping and complex psychological thriller from the New York Times bestselling author of The Good Girl and the upcoming page-turner Don't You Cry, Mary Kubica She sees the teenage girl on the train platform, standing in the pouring rain, clutching an infant in her arms. She boards a train and is whisked away. But she can't get the girl out of her head… Heidi Wood has always been a charitable woman: she works for a nonprofit, takes in stray cats. Still, her husband and daughter are horrified when Heidi returns home one day with a young woman named Willow and her four-month-old baby in tow. Disheveled and apparently homeless, this girl could be a criminal—or worse. But despite her family's objections, Heidi invites Willow and the baby to take refuge in their home. Heidi spends the next few days helping Willow get back on her feet, but as clues into Willow's past begin to surface, Heidi is forced to decide how far she's willing to go to help a stranger.
