The objective of this research study was to examine motorists' perceptions, opinions, expectations and other psychological factors, which influence their driving activity in highway work zones. The study was carried out in two parts: an opinion survey and focus groups. A two-page questionnaire was distributed to 2,246 automobile and truck drivers.
