Book Description
Domestic Violence is a serious issue when dealing with the hands of your abuser. Domestic Violence is a violent or aggressive behavior within the home, church or workplace, typically involving the violent abuse of a spouse or partner. Domestic Violence is also willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/ or other abusive behavior as part of a systematic pattern of power and control perpetrated by one intimate partner against another. I was in an abusive relationship with my abuser for a long period of time. I suffer a lot pain and heartache in the hands of my abuser. He had me brainwashed. He can cheat on me with whomever he wanted too, but I dare not question him why. My abuser told me, “I better not tell anyone and if you do I’ll kill you” Now that stuck with me for a long time. I never told anyone of what he had did to me. I knew I had to fi ght back in order for me to get away from him. None of that worked out for me. He always said the right words to win me back. Yes, I loved him and I didn’t want to see him in jail. I kept everything a secret from my family. I pray that if you are in an abusive relationship to get out and seek help. Yes, he may tell you that he won’t do it again but is it worth losing your LIFE? He’s going to tell you all the good words you love to hear, but is your heart worth losing a BEAT? Don’t be afraid to seek help. It’s up to you to get the help. If you know someone you can trust, please tell them. Always keep a journal of what is going on between you and your abuser. I AM A SURVIVOR of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. I survive the hands of my abuser. To all women’s around the world who is going through an abusive relationship, there is joy on the other side. God will be there in the midst of your storm. May God bless you all!!!!!!!!! Ms. Survivor

Book Description
The provision and use of traditional, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) has been growing globally over the last 40 years. As CAM develops alongside - and sometimes integrates with - conventional medicine, this handbook provides the first major overview of its regulation and professionalization from social science and legal perspectives. The Routledge Handbook of Complementary and Alternative Medicine draws on historical and international comparative research to provide a rigorous and thematic examination of the field. It argues that many popular and policy debates are stuck in a polarized and largely asocial discourse, and that interdisciplinary social science perspectives, theorising diversity in the field, provide a much more robust evidence base for policy and practice in the field. Divided into four sections, the handbook covers: analytical frameworks power, professions and health spaces risk and regulation perspectives for the future. This important volume will interest social science and legal scholars researching complementary and alternative medicine, professional identify and health care regulation, as well as historians and health policymakers and regulators.

Book Description
Where do babies come from? Any parent can tell you that it's much more complicated than any stories that were passed around the playground. Between adoption, surrogacy, pregnancy complications, and more, it's clear that no path to baby leads straight from point A to point B — and that this convoluted journey looks different for every parent. In 12 essays that share the hilarity, hope, and heartbreak of trying to get pregnant, Parenting Uncensored shares real parents' perspectives on what it takes to conceive. Their stories run the gamut from blogger Aela Mass's ups-and-downs in IVF ("I'm gay. That's my fertility issue.") to Megan Jordan's fear of sharing the news of her pregnancy with her infertile friends ("I have been hesitant to talk about this new baby until I could end every sentence with a huge exclamation point. As in, 'I'm pregnant!' rather than 'I'm pregnant. Oy.'"), you'll learn that any roadblock you face in getting pregnant isn't a burden you have to face alone. Several essays in the book were chosen by the Babble community as the most compelling and helpful look at the topic. Babble, the leading site for parents sharing "tell-it-like-it-is" guidance, presents the latest volume of Parenting Uncensored, a series of short ebooks on topics of vital interest to expecting and new parents.
