Excerpt from Minutes of the Second Annual Session of the Deep River Missionary Baptist Association: Held With Pearls Street Church, Sanford, N. C., October 3-6, 1918 Art. VI. This Association requests that each subordinate church pay 150 per capita (each member) for the objects stated in Art. II. Art. VII. Any Baptist sunday-school or Missionary Society within the bounds of this Association, may become a member of this body by sending a delegate and voluntary contribution. Art. VIII. This Association shall meet annually on Thursday before the first Sunday in October, and adjourn on Sunday. Art. IX. The Treasurer shall, not pay out any money unless ordered by at least two-thirds of the members of the Executive Board, (when not in session). Order written by the Secretary and signed by the Moderator of Association, or Chairman Of Executive Board.
