Since the last Sessions of the Committee we have been endeavouring to carry out the suggestions and recommendations made at that time, and we feel that we have been making satisfactory progress. There is one item of unfinished business from the previous report of the committee, that in connection with the question of long term temporary civil servants, and as the Civil Service Commission was requested by the committee to secure informa tion on this point I thought perhaps this morning you might desire to consider it, and I have the information available if that is your wish.
