Book Description
Have you ever noticed that we tend to compartmentalize when teaching our children? In real life, there aren’t artificial barriers between “subjects.” For example, when you are cooking or baking, you have to use the skills of reading, logical thinking, and measuring, just to name a few. In driving a car, you see and read road signs, read maps, and count miles. It has become quite clear that there is an abundance of math curriculums available that are nothing but monotonous drill sheets dressed up in pretty colors. Pretty colors do not make a living book. Content, story, and the ability to show math in real life make a living math book. Math Level 1: Teach math lessons through the creative means of a life storyProvides a link for the downloadable answer keyHas a scope and sequence that contains learning numbers 0 to 100, circles and patterns, counting and addition, days of the week, and telling time. This book was written to be used by you and your young student together. It is the story of a twin brother and sister, Charlie and Charlotte, who are visiting their grandparents’ farm. They soon learn that the farm is full of learning opportunities! As you read their story, your students will be drawn into the adventure along with the twins. They will learn about numbers, shapes, place value, adding, and subtracting. They will also learn about gardening, baby animals on the farm, nature, and the love of family. They will hear exciting stories from Grandpa and Grandma, and they will be invited to join the twins on their living math adventures. We hope you have a grand time on this adventure!

Book Description
Satan comes to Soviet Moscow in this critically acclaimed translation of one of the most important and best-loved modern classics in world literature. The Master and Margarita has been captivating readers around the world ever since its first publication in 1967. Written during Stalin’s time in power but suppressed in the Soviet Union for decades, Bulgakov’s masterpiece is an ironic parable on power and its corruption, on good and evil, and on human frailty and the strength of love. In The Master and Margarita, the Devil himself pays a visit to Soviet Moscow. Accompanied by a retinue that includes the fast-talking, vodka-drinking, giant tomcat Behemoth, he sets about creating a whirlwind of chaos that soon involves the beautiful Margarita and her beloved, a distraught writer known only as the Master, and even Jesus Christ and Pontius Pilate. The Master and Margarita combines fable, fantasy, political satire, and slapstick comedy to create a wildly entertaining and unforgettable tale that is commonly considered the greatest novel to come out of the Soviet Union. It appears in this edition in a translation by Mirra Ginsburg that was judged “brilliant” by Publishers Weekly. Praise for The Master and Margarita “A wild surrealistic romp. . . . Brilliantly flamboyant and outrageous.” —Joyce Carol Oates, The Detroit News “Fine, funny, imaginative. . . . The Master and Margarita stands squarely in the great Gogolesque tradition of satiric narrative.” —Saul Maloff, Newsweek “A rich, funny, moving and bitter novel. . . . Vast and boisterous entertainment.” —The New York Times “The book is by turns hilarious, mysterious, contemplative and poignant. . . . A great work.” —Chicago Tribune “Funny, devilish, brilliant satire. . . . It’s literature of the highest order and . . . it will deliver a full measure of enjoyment and enlightenment.” —Publishers Weekly

Book Description
"This book is about a journey. A journey of perspective. We all go through life with our own perceptions and expectations based on our pasts, our experiences, and our beliefs. Beliefs of how things are or how they should be. We interpret experiences and assign meanings to them. Many times, the meanings we assign, and the perceptions we have based on them are very limited. We project our preconceived notions into situations which oftentimes keeps us from fully understanding or appreciating the opportunities we have at our fingertips. In this story you'll meet Spencer, a young man who thinks he knows how things are. But as you'll see, he's about to find out that there is so much more to people and their situations than what's on the surface."-from the Preface

Book Description
Tyndale's translation is one of the earliest English translations of the New Testament. It is especially noteworthy that it was produced in a time when the Bible was not allowed to be translated into vernacular languages. Nevertheless, Tyndale's work succeeded and is still available for study until the present time. Scholars have regarded the 1534 edition as Tyndale’s definitive version of the New Testament. Though in 1535 he did issue another edition, the 1534 edition remains his crowning work. The sources for this edition of Tyndale’s New Testament are the following: 1. “The English Hexapla Exhibiting the Six Important English Translations of the New Testament Scriptures, Wiclif, Tyndale, Cranmer, Genevan, Anglorhemish, Authorized or King James Version published in 1841.” 2. “The Newe Testament dylygently corrected and compared with the Greke by William Tindale and finessed in the yere of oure Lorde God. A.M.D. & XXXIIII. in the moneth of Nouember.” Reprint edition. The original spelling has been retained. One will notice in the text the many variations of spelling upon a particular word. This was very common in the early days of printing. At that time there was no uniform standard for the spelling of many words. The versification of this edition is mapped as closely as possible to the A.V. Since the early Bibles in English did not contain verse references, the English Hexapla was followed and corrected where there were any discrepancies. The versification of English Bibles did not occur until the introduction of the Geneva Bible, which was published in 1560. The 1534 Tyndale Bible reflected in this text was Tyndale’s revised work upon his translation that was published in 1525. He had promised in that edition that he would accomplish a revision at a later date. By the pressures of pirated reprints of his 1525 edition and, in particular, George Joye’s work of revision without Tyndale’s consent, he was moved to revise his 1525 edition and give to the world this edition that came from the press in 1534. The scholars have regarded the 1534 edition as Tyndale’s definitive version of the New Testament, though in 1535, he did issue another edition. The 1534 edition remains his crowning work.
