Book Description
The moment eighteenyearold Tibullus sees Drusilla and Luxor in the slave market, he knows he has to have them. He’s dreamed of girls like these two beauties. His first few months of ownership are ecstasy beyond belief, with all his fantasies come true. He can indulge in every breathtaking thing he has ever imagined! In time, he learns new, bolder things to do beyond what he’s already done. He borrows his friend’s slave girl, along with the “love chair” from a visiting trader to add to the exciting possibilities. Yet, there are some strange mysteries taking place in his erotic world and with these slave girls. Why do British tribesmen come close to his villa whenever the girls are around? He seems to know so little about the girls, regardless of what they tell him. And the artifacts? The girls behave so differently in their presence. And why do other people see them so differently than he does? Tibullus wants answers, and undertakes a voyage to discover the true world behind his peculiar slave girls.

Book Description
The Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor, active in the last decades of the 19th century, was the only order of its time that taught practical occultism in the Western Mystery Tradition. This is the first complete and undistorted account, tracing the origins, founders, and practices of this very secretive order, which counted among its members many of the well-known figures of late 19th-century occultism, spiritualism, and Theosophy, including Max Theon, Peter Davidson, Thomas Henry Burgoyne and Paschal Beverly Randolph. This scholarly work provides all the materials for revisioning the history, assigning the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor its rightful place as one of the most influential esoteric orders of its time.

Book Description
A full-color guide to the monuments and landscape of Upper Egypt, now fully revised and updated by leading Egyptologist Aidan Didson Luxor stands on the site of ancient Thebes, Egypt’s opulent New Kingdom capital. It encompasses the spectacular temples of Luxor and Karnak on the east bank of the Nile, and on the west bank the vast necropolis, which includes the Colossi of Memnon, the famed Ramesseum, Queen Hatshepsut’s magnificent funerary temple, and the Valley of the Kings, riddled with royal tombs, among them the fabled resting place of Tutankhamun. The splendor and profusion of pharaonic monuments at Luxor justifies its reputation as the greatest outdoor museum in the world. Reaching beyond Luxor, this book also covers all the major sites of Upper Egypt, including Abydos, Dendera, Esna, Edfu, and Kom Ombo. Special attention is given to Aswan, one of the most beautiful places in Egypt, with its nearby island temple of Isis at Philae. The climax of this informed and richly illustrated book comes with the remarkable temples at Abu Simbel, with their colossal figures of Ramesses II and his lovely wife Nefertari cut from the living rock. This edition, now fully revised and updated by leading Egyptologist Aidan Dodson, and presented in a brand new design and easily portable format, is the perfect companion for visitors to Upper Egypt's famed sites and monuments.

Book Description
A Stabbing Death in Luxor or the Further Adventures of Professor Hilary Tamar is essentially a murder mystery. The story is told entirely from the viewpoint of Professor Tamar who, along with five of her associates, all barristers in London, comprise a group which has solved several crimes in the past. Professor Tamar becomes suspicious of a client of one of the barristers and soon uncovers a $2.5 million embezzlement scheme. Before the crime is even discovered, one of the embezzlers drives away from a bank in Switzerland with $2.5 million in gold coins loaded in his car, waving to the bank officials as he leaves. Very shortly thereafter, one of the embezzlers is dead, and Professor Tamar begins a more thorough investigation of the embezzlement and this death. Since one the embezzlers is Egyptian, the story soon shifts to Luxor, Egypt, where Professor Tamar and associates soon assemble. A detailed investigation is described, at the conclusion of which the reader is given a possible solution to the more recent stabbing in Luxor, but is left with a question as to its actual cause. The reader is also left with the question as to what the proper pronouns should be for Professor Tamar.

Book Description
The extraordinary story of how an obelisk from the banks of Luxor was transferred to the Place de la Concorde in Paris in the early 19th century Transporting the Luxor obelisk from Egypt to Paris was one of the great engineering triumphs of the early nineteenth century. No obelisk this size (two hundred and fifty tons) had left Egypt in nearly two thousand years, and the task of bringing it fell to a young engineer, Apollinaire Lebas, a man of extraordinary resolve and ability. His is a tale of adventure, excitement, and drama, but one hardly known to the English-speaking world. Lebas’ team was struck by the plague; they ran out of wood; they had to wait four months for the Nile to rise to free their beached ship. But in the end, The Luxor, with its precious cargo on board, sailed down the Nile. On October 25, 1836 before two hundred thousand cheering Parisians, Lebas raised his obelisk. He was rewarded handsomely by his king, a medal with his name on it was struck, and his body lies in the famous Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris along with French luminaries. Now this first-ever translation of Lebas’s account, including digitally enhanced copies of his beautiful drawings, makes his remarkable story available to a wide audience.
