Book Description
To some people this may just be another poetry book, but to me this is an actual glimpse into my life. My trials, tribulations, and personal issues that I have endured in my life while battling with Bi-Polar disorder. My disorder and personal issues have been used as my inspiration ever since publishing my last book “The Evolution of Love” on February 23, 2012. This book was put together to speak on behalf of those who cannot, the people who have personal issues and are scared to talk about them. The people who are apprehensive to vent their true feelings because of how they may be outcast by society. This book is not intended to glorify or condone dark actions to or for any of my readers. I just want to serve as a vessel for my readers so they know no matter how hard things may be there will always be a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how far away it may seem. A wise poet once told me “Poetry is beautiful. It has no beginning or end. It is abstract and serves as intellectual documentation for raw emotions.” I agree with this 100% because poetry is not just therapeutic, it is an art form that does not discriminate by race, religion, size or geographic location. Thanks to poetry I have found ways to creatively stimulate my mind by channeling “raw emotions” to paper and also feeding information to my brain by studying those poets whom I have the pleasure to work with and those greats that have come before me. Thankfully I have a very strong support system in my corner like my mother, sister, and wife. I also want to thank my biggest supports who are my daughters Eyana, Nevaeh, Savina, and the newest addition to the family my son Adrian “A.J” Alexander.

Book Description
From the author of the best selling poetry collection Love And Space Dust and the writer behind the internationally famous poetry account @storydj comes a book about love, heartbreak, life - and how to survive all three amongst the noise of our modern world. Loud World, Quiet Thoughts is divided into two parts. The first consists of short prose, aphorisms and quotes focused on the deafening noise of the modern world; of social media, of television, and pressure. It embodies the endless anxiety of contrasting voices and white noise so loud that it drowns out our own thoughts. The second consists of beautiful poetry drawn from our quietest thoughts and the depths of our souls, thoughts about love and heartbreak and, most of all, hope. Above all else, Loud World, Quiet Thoughts is a book about reconciling the secret spaces of your heart with the white noise of the world outside.

Book Description
This stunning successor to Ouimet’s debut, I Go Quiet, follows a girl learning to express herself and connect with others. When I am swept into the light of life, I get loud. A girl finds her voice and befriends a stranger, who becomes her closest companion. They speak and sing and laugh, their friendship weathering darkness and light, stormy seas and calm waters. Then, embarking on an uncertain journey to a new land with thousands of others, they become separated. The girl worries that her voice alone is too quiet to find her friend and make herself known—but it’s their voices that lead them back to each other, and that preserve their pasts and pave their future in a new home. The companion to David Ouimet’s acclaimed debut, I Go Quiet, I Get Loud is a poetic and arresting fable about the power of expression and human connection in the face of change.

Book Description
The perfect marriage of literary and speculative fiction for readers of Kazuo Ishiguro and NK Jemisin. When Freya Tanangco was ten, she dreamed of her mother's death right before it happened. That's when she realized she was a veker, someone with enhanced mental abilities and who is scorned as a result. Freya's adult life has been spent in hiding: from the troubled literary legacy created by her author father, and from the scrutiny of a society in which vekers often meet with violence. When her prophetic dreams take a dangerous turn, Freya finds herself increasingly forced to sacrifice her own anonymity--and the fragile safety that comes with it--in order to protect those around her. Interwoven with themes of Filipino Canadian and mixed-race identity, fantastical elements from Norse and Filipino mythology, and tarot card symbolism, The Quiet Is Loud is an intergenerational tale of familial love and betrayal, and what happens when we refuse to let others tell our stories for us.

Book Description
In our fast-paced, noise-filled world, silence is often underappreciated and overlooked. Yet, silence has a profound impact on our mental, emotional, and even physical well-being. In this subchapter, we will delve into the value of silence and explore how it can positively influence every individual. Silence provides us with a much-needed respite from the constant chatter and distractions that surround us. It allows our minds to rest and recharge, fostering clarity and focus. In moments of silence, we can reflect on our thoughts, emotions, and experiences, gaining valuable insights and understanding. Silence provides the space for introspection and self-discovery, enabling us to connect with our inner selves on a deeper level. Furthermore, silence cultivates mindfulness and presence. When we embrace silence, we become fully aware of the present moment, immersing ourselves in the beauty and wonder of our surroundings. It allows us to appreciate the simple joys of life that often go unnoticed amidst the noise and chaos. By being present in the silence, we can let go of worries, anxieties, and stress, finding peace and tranquility within ourselves. Silence also plays a vital role in improving our communication skills. When we listen in silence, we give others the opportunity to express themselves without interruption or judgment. This creates an atmosphere of trust and understanding, fostering meaningful connections and deeper relationships. Through silence, we can truly hear and empathize with others, strengthening the bonds that hold us together as a society. Moreover, silence has a profound impact on our overall well-being. Research has shown that regularly incorporating moments of silence into our daily lives can reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and enhance cognitive function. It allows our bodies and minds to rest and rejuvenate, promoting a sense of balance and harmony.

Book Description
Into a world where it often seems nobody is listening comes a poignant story that celebrates the power of silence. “Why are you so quiet?” Her teacher implores it, her classmates shout it, even her mom wonders it. Everyone, it seems, is concerned for Myra Louise. So, in search of an answer to the tiresome question nobody will stop asking, she invents a listening machine. If the raindrops, or the crickets, or the dryers at the laundromat can tell her why they’re so quiet, maybe Myra Louise can finally make everybody understand. But the more she listens, the less interested she becomes in finding any answer at all. Because Myra Louise comes to realize that all she really needs is someone else to listen alongside her. With gorgeous illustrations from Risa Hugo, Jaclyn Desforges’s first picture book champions introversion and the value of being a listener, a thinker, and an observer in our increasingly loud world.
