His experience has been exactly what he needed to fit him for the task. Mr. Price is a forester, and was for many years my right hand in the Forest Service. Indeed, if credit could be al lotted justly for work done, I believe it would be found that he had more to do with the success of the Service than I had. In addition to his intimate knowledge of the whole country acquired in the Forest Service, Mr. Price has been associated with the Conservation movement from its very beginning. Personally, Mr. Price is so warm a friend of mine that what he says about me in his book must be taken with many grains of salt. He is strongly prejudiced in my favor.
