The work of photographers both celebrated and overlooked--including Margaret Bourke-White, Larry Burrows, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Frank Dandridge, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Fritz Goro, Gordon Parks, and W. Eugene Smith--is explored in the context of the creative and editorial structures at Life.
