Para el dominio de estos recursos se requiere un aprendizaje minucioso de dos campos disciplinarios diferentes en cuanto a sus fines: la lingüística y la gramática.La lingüística nos dice cómo es nuestro idioma, cómo funciona, cómo evoluciona, qué características específicas posee como mecanismo de relación entre los miembros de la sociedad.En cambio la gramática, conformada por los diversos patrones de perfección, nos dice cómo debe ser nuestro medio de comunicación formal, y cómo debe amoldarse a las diversas exigencias académicas y protocolares de la lengua escrita.A menudo, tanto los estudiantes de la educación superior y de posgrado como los profesionales con amplios conocimientos de su oficio, se sienten limitados cuando abordan o desean producir obras literarias, de tecnología, de divulgación científica o periodística, porque sienten que no tienen las herramientas necesarias del idioma para producir los escritos, por cuanto que no es suficiente saber comunicarse en el ámbito familiar o social de la vecindad para considerarse apto para leer y escribir textos.La lengua que usamos a diario en esas circunstancias se caracteriza por tener un limitado vocabulario, por lo tanto no nos sirve para difundir nuestros mensajes, escribir nuestras tareas académicas, ni comprender cabalmente los textosescritos.Escribir exige una eficiente relación entre nuestras ideas y la construcción de mensajes. No basta tener el concepto o argumento que queremos hacer llegar a nuestros lectores, sino contar con habilidades para exponer, describir, explicar, argumentar los planteamientos.Si manejamos los recursos idiomáticos adecuadamente, nuestros escritos adquirirán calidad y lograremos con ello nuestros objetivos.
