L'implicite concerne tout ce qui n'est pas dit explicitement dans le langage mais pouvant être compris grâce au contexte d'énonciation. La compréhension de l' implicite fait donc partie des compétences pragmatiques pennettant la réussite de la communication. C'est grâce à la compréhension de l' implicite que nous pouvons par exemple comprendre le sarcasme, l'ironie, l'humour ou les actes de langage indirects. Un sujet crébrolésé présentant un trouble de la compréhension de l' implicite interprétera uniquement le sens littéral du message, et non le sens que lui a donné son interlocuteur. Ce type de trouble est un obstacle important à la communication, pouvant parfois entraîner un abandon de l' échange. En l'absence de théories précises, leur prise en charge est assez récente et encore peu répandue, c'est pourquoi peu de protocoles de rééducation spécifique existent. De plus, la majorité des supports de rééducation sont uniquement textuels. Nous avons donc fait le choix d'élaborer un nouveau support de rééducation de la compréhension de l' implicite, destiné à l'adulte cérébrolésé et utilisant la bande dessinée. Les trente-six planches créées ont été proposées à une population adulte saine de quarante-trois personnes, divisée en deux niveaux socio-culturels. La phase de validation a permis de supprimer les items non pertinents et de définir un ordre de difficulté pertinent pour la rééducation auprès d'un patient cérébrolésé de vingt-six ans présentant des troubles de la compréhension de l'implicite. Suite à l'essai du matériel, nous avons pu constater une amélioration qualitative des capacités de compréhension des inférences de ce patient, mais pas de différence statistique significative aux épreuves de bilan et aux lignes de base avant et après rééducation. Cette étude ne permet donc pas à elle seule de confirmer l'efficacité de ce support rééducatif.
