He left a wife and probably twelve children when he and Lucinda Claypool (b. 1816) left Fayette County, Virginia and settled in Lewis County, Virginia (now West Virginia) in the 1840's. They had four children, 1850-186-. Descendants lived in West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
