Book Description
This book is the sequel to La Familia "The Family" The Adventures of Tony the Turtle. The first book left you hanging now join in on the fun, adventure, danger, and even unexpected romance on this sequel La Jornada "The Journey" The Adventures of Tony the Turtle. Yes, you will meet odd characters like Beto the Beaver, Tencha Tejona ("Hortence the Badger"--literal translation, but for dramatic purposes, she is more of a possum.) Haha! There is also the gruesome, fearsome, and river lurking, Lazaro Lagarto, (Aligator Larry) who tries to actually eat the raft and all who are......well, I get ahead of myself. It is a journey to a new land to start a new life. As they were introduced in the first book, this turtle family has colorful shells. This makes them unique as well as ridiculed. They maintain their turtle dignity and persevere ever closer to their destination of the village Prickly Pear. They trudge along as fast as turtles can once they hit dry land Their help is a sort of wanna-be cowboy / hero / guide Arnoldo Armadillo. There is so much to tell, see, learn, and experience in this story. It is English based and has some proper Spanish translation utilizing colorful phrases. It is higher level reading material than the first book, perhaps appealing to upper elementary level students and into junior high reading level and intrigue. Key themes in this book are FAMILY VALUES, PERSEVERANCE, and SELF-RESPECT. The art work done by Rene Lopez is definitely an upgrade in development and expression and we are sure you will be swept away by the humor and detail of the many drawings through out the book that help tell the story.

Book Description
Learn concepts and practices in OKR with the experiences of 42 people leading the adoption of OKRs in various sectors of the Brazilian and international market. Learn about the challenges and best practices in a journey of OKR implementation. “In this work, another goal of this fantastic initiative called Jornada Colaborativa, we have a deepening of the concepts, context-based applications and, mainly, real market cases, which will surely help you in this VUCA/BANI world where short-term objectives are increasingly necessary.” - Vitor Massari, preface Jornada Colaborativa Together we are smarter and more lives are transformed! Once upon a time there was a university professor who dreamed of releasing a book when he finished his master’s degree in 2007. After some ideas for publication on topics such as Microsoft certification, project management and service management, the dream began to be fulfilled in 2017 with the book “Jornada DevOps” (DevOps Journey), but some obstacles stopped its evolution after the definition of the final structure for the official EXIN certification and the writing of three chapters. In September 2018, during a lecture at PUC Minas, a click emerged: “would other people passionate about DevOps help with collaborative writing?” Dozens of people accepted the invitation and the book was released to 350 people on June 6, 2019 at the SulAmérica Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro, after intense coordinated work with people from several cities who had never worked together before. After this successful experience with many learning experiences, the team’s escalation created great friendships, new initiatives and a donation of R$ 251,500.00 to institutions, with 11 books launched. We dream of transforming more lives with collective intelligence and the support of friendly companies... Antonio Muniz Founder of Jornada Colaborativa, organization and curation of 20 books. Book Description
On a cool, autumn day in Canada, a tiny egg hatches under a milkweed plant. As Mari the caterpillar is born, she is surrounded by beautiful monarch butterflies that gracefully soar around the orange blossoms. Mari can hardly wait until she grows big enough to have wings to fly! It is not long before Mari grows large and gets very tired. She spins a chrysalis and slips inside, falling into a deep sleep as her body begins to change. As soon as she awakens, Mari unfolds her orange and black wings, dries them in the sun, and begins flying from flower to flower. Soon, it is time for her to catch a current and embark on a magnificent migration that will take her more than two thousand miles over New York City to the hills of West Virginia and finally to a mountain in Mexico where the circle of life begins once again. Written in both Spanish and English, Maris Miracle tells the delightful, educational, and touching tale of a migrating monarch butterflys adventures, seeking to encourage learning and good stewardship of our planet.
