Book Description
This book will explore the Old Testament roots of Christianity and how that Judaism and Christianity are inherently the same; this book expounds the well-founded connection to Jesus and the ancient prophetic writings. Prophecy is one of the single-most powerful pieces of evidence of the supernatural workings of God on earth and hence a focal point for establishing the Messiahship of Jesus. This book is essential for any non-believer seeking a case for why he or she should believe that Jesus died, was resurrected, and that He is ultimately the Savior of our souls. In addition, the knowledge and understanding that can be gained are not just relevant for non-believers, but the book is also a powerful tool for Christians who don't know everything there is to know about Messianic prophecy. When Christians also understand the true potency of their own faith, they are better able to teach Christ to others. The author is a recent college graduate having earned his BS in Biology from Valdosta State University in 2005. His life in serving God began at the age of 13 at which time he personally experienced the life-changing power of Christ, and hence, the purpose-filled journey began. Now he hopes to help others to experience the miraculous power of Jesus that he experienced. In relation to the writing of this book, the inspiration was born out of a love for the Jewish people and a desire to see all of God's lost sheep saved. In addition, he also hopes to enlighten everyday Christians making them more aware of the power of the surety of their hope in Christ. He currently resides in the southeastern United States.

Book Description
Despite the popular theology of our day, Christians should not expect to get out of experiencing the tribulation or the end times. Nowhere in the Bible does the Lord promise us this, say Michael Brown and Craig Keener, two leading, acclaimed Bible scholars. In fact, they say, Jesus promises us tribulation in this world. Yet this is no reason to fear. In this fascinating, accessible, and personal book, Brown and Keener walk you through what the Bible really says about the rapture, the tribulation, and the end times. What they find will leave you full of hope. God's wrath is not poured out on His people, and He will shield us from it--as he shielded Israel in Egypt during the ten plagues. So instead of taking comfort in what God hasn't promised, take comfort in the words of Jesus: He has overcome the world, and we live in his victory.

Book Description
How the rise of Christianity profoundly influenced the development of Judaism in late antiquity In late antiquity, as Christianity emerged from Judaism, it was not only the new religion that was being influenced by the old. The rise and revolutionary challenge of Christianity also had a profound influence on rabbinic Judaism, which was itself just emerging and, like Christianity, trying to shape its own identity. In The Jewish Jesus, Peter Schäfer reveals the crucial ways in which various Jewish heresies, including Christianity, affected the development of rabbinic Judaism. He even shows that some of the ideas that the rabbis appropriated from Christianity were actually reappropriated Jewish ideas. The result is a demonstration of the deep mutual influence between the sister religions, one that calls into question hard and fast distinctions between orthodoxy and heresy, and even Judaism and Christianity, during the first centuries CE.

Book Description
This now classic book is a significant corrective to several recent developments in the study of the historical Jesus. In contrast to depictions of Jesus as a wandering Cynic teacher, Geza Vermes offers a portrait based on evidence of charismatic activity in first-century Galilee. Vermes shows how the major New Testament titles of Jesus-prophet, Lord, Messiah, son of man, Son of God-can be understood in this historical context. The result is a description of Jesus that retains its power and its credibility.
