When he first arrives, everyone is expecting the usual kind of baby. But right away, his family notices there's something different about this one. Instead of two feet, he has four hooves. Instead of drinking milk, he eats twigs and weeds. Instead of a tiny human, they bring home a moose baby! With his long legs, silky ears, and sturdy antlers, the moose baby is admired everywhere he goes. Everyone wishes they had a moose baby too. But what will happen when he starts to outgrow their little home? Here's a delightfully quirky and completely irresistible new sibling picture book about the true meaning of family and the power of love to transcend any difference.

Book Description
From the illustrator of the #1 smash hit The Day the Crayons Quit comes the age-old tale of a boy and his moose . . . Wilfred is a boy with rules. He lives a very orderly life. It's fortunate, then, that he has a pet who abides by rules, such as not making noise while Wilfred educates him on his record collection. There is, however, one rule that Wilfred's pet has difficulty following: Going whichever way Wilfred wants to go. Perhaps this is because Wilfred's pet doesn't quite realize that he belongs to anyone. A moose can be obstinate in such ways. Fortunately, the two manage to work out a compromise. Let's just say it involves apples. Oliver Jeffers, the bestselling creator of Stuck and The Incredible Book Eating Boy, delivers another deceptively simple book sure to make kids giggle.

Book Description
Its hooves were supposedly a cure for epilepsy; it is the mascot of the Seattle Mariners baseball team and the clothing company Abercrombie & Fitch; and its meat is a delicacy. The moose is a fascinating but elusive animal of the north, and its little-known natural history is the focus of Kevin Jackson’s engaging new book. Moose explains moose’s biological history and describes its natural environments around the world, including Canada, New England, Alaska, and Scandinavia, where the moose is the national animal of Sweden and Norway. Jackson considers why the moose is really an elk and an elk is a wapiti, and he also looks at the controversy behind the naming of the Irish Elk. Moose explores the animal’s role in human history since the Stone Age, including the “alces” in Julius Caesar’s history of the Gallic Wars and its influence on figures such as poet Ted Hughes and Theodore Roosevelt and his Bull Moose Party. The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, a 150-foot statue being built in Sweden, and colorful moose lore all appear in this wide-ranging study, making this an essential read for naturalists and moose lovers alike.

Book Description
The moose in Glacier National Park in Montana, USA, and the Moose in Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada are amazing wildlife to watch. Moose, Alces alces, is a mammal I captured in stunning 4K and HD videos and pictures. Moose are majestic and enormous beasts that when encountered properly can be fantastic wildlife viewing. Though crossing the stream coming from Maligne Lake can be trying for a mother moose and her child moose, lol… The best places I have been to observe moose are Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, and Jasper National Park. This eBook will concentrate on the moose I observed on mornings and afternoons near my campsite in Glacier National Park and near the boat launch at Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park. The moose in Yellowstone National Park were viewed while having lunch by the river/stream beneath the roadside waterfall of the Upper Geyser Basin. Four moose were observed across the river in wetland vegetation during my lunch there. I lived in Whitefish, MT for three years and have visited Glacier National Park for two decades. The TV sitcom “Northern Exposure” features moose as a part of the show's opening sort of like “Forrest Gimp” the moose who loved Whitefish. My favorite beer while in Montana is “Moose Drool” from Missoula Brewing, lol… Seeing the beauty of the Big Sky Country’s “Crown of the Continent” made me want to move to that part of Montana! I have logged nearly 12 full summers in the glacier backcountry and it is by far my favorite place to be on earth. Glacier National Park is my favorite national park by far in our national park system! I have camped numerous times over the years at Kootenai Lakes campground whose campsites can sometimes flood, lol… moving you even closer to the shoreline-hugging beasts. Canada also has some sweet gems in their Parks Canada system and great large wildlife viewing such as moose as well.
