Book Description
This book stresses the importance of living an inspirational life. The book discusses 36 of the best places to find inspirational material, and it shows 155 of my favorite inspirational poems, stories, songs and prayers. I grew up under humble conditions. Since childhood I have used inspirations to live a happy and fulfilling life. It has permitted me to work and to obtain three university degrees without any external financial support, have a very successful 37 year professional career, and a very happy and fulfilling retirement. It permitted me to retire at 60 years old. At the age of 78 years old, I am now looking forward to a new career in book writing with God's will and inspiration. Everyone needs inspiration to live a happier and more fulfilling life. Inspiration has permitted me to do things that I could not have done otherwise. I can not imagine living a life without inspiration in it. It's a kind of life that I would not want to live. I benefited a lot from writing this book, and I can not wait to have other people read and benefit from the book. In this book I encourage my readers to write their own inspirational books.

How Lovely the Ruins
Author: Annie Chagnot
Publisher: Random House
ISBN: 0399592857
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 226
Book Description
This wide-ranging collection of inspirational poetry and prose offers readers solace, perspective, and the courage to persevere. In times of personal hardship or collective anxiety, words have the power to provide comfort, meaning, and hope. The past year has seen a resurgence of poetry and inspiring quotes—posted on social media, appearing on bestseller lists, shared from friend to friend. Honoring this communal spirit, How Lovely the Ruins is a timeless collection of both classic and contemporary poetry and short prose that can be of help in difficult times—selections that offer wisdom and purpose, and that allow us to step out of our current moment to gain a new perspective on the world around us as well as the world within. The poets and writers featured in this book represent the diversity of our country as well as voices beyond our borders, including Maya Angelou, W. H. Auden, Danez Smith, Rumi, Emily Dickinson, Naomi Shihab Nye, Alice Walker, Adam Zagajewski, Langston Hughes, Wendell Berry, Anna Akhmatova, Yehuda Amichai, and Robert Frost. And the book opens with a stunning foreword by Elizabeth Alexander, whose poem “Praise Song for the Day,” delivered at the inauguration of President Barack Obama, ushered in an era of optimism. In works celebrating our capacity for compassion, our patriotism, our right to protest, and our ability to persevere, How Lovely the Ruins is a beacon that illuminates our shared humanity, allowing us connection in a fractured world. Includes poetry, prose, and quotations from: Elizabeth Alexander • Marcus Aurelius • Karen Armstrong • Matthew Arnold • Ellen Bass • Brian Bilston • Gwendolyn Brooks • Elizabeth Barrett Browning • Octavia E. Butler • Regie Cabico • Dinos Christianopoulos • Lucille Clifton • Ta-Nehisi Coates • Leonard Cohen • Wendy Cope • E. E. Wandering Among the Stars
Author: Wirton Arvel
Publisher: CreateSpace
ISBN: 9781514757741
Category :
Languages : en
Pages : 218
Book Description
The motivational journey of a poet among his walking words, a tale written in prose with many poems and inspirational quotes. 'Wandering among the stars' tells the love story between the protagonist and life. A story where poetry and prose are intertwined like soul and body, to bring this love story to life so the reader can live it. So it's not about a collection of poems, least of all a story in verse. Maybe it could be described as a book of 'narrated poems' or as a 'literary musical'; actually it represents a narrative experiment that lies somewhere between a meta-novel, a collection of poems and an essay; its main aim is to encourage those readers that usually prefer to read only prose works to read poetry as well. (Do you want to try?) As a poetry anthology it includes chapters about love, the cosmos, death, spirituality and poetry itself. Italian edition of this book has been a hit and has remained for more than twelve consecutive months among the bestsellers of its category in the Italian Kindle Store. ( http://smarturl.it/stelle ) - 'Wonderful book! Wirton Arvel is the new Gibran' Mark J. - 'Poetry is the sound track of our soul; this book tells why' Josh Russell - 'It's like a never ending story singing the song of universe to our soul' Liz Baum - 'Very inspirational biography, for all 'active dreamers' and life lovers' Brandon Dyer - 'This book is like nothing I have ever read before' David H. Birley - 'Reading the book, you become a part of something bigger than yourself' Uvi Poznansky - 'An interesting sensory experience" Dennis Waller - 'Simply beautiful. A treasure for anyone who loves poems' Ionia Martin - 'A book for lovers of words' Scarlett Jensen - ''Impudent stillness' (one of the poems) is a jewel of combination of words and ideas' Jean Pailler - 'This book cannot be summarized - that would tarnish its beauty of wholeness' Grady Harp Grab the free Kindle preview ("send sample" button) and give it a try! It's also available in Italian ( http://smarturl.it/stelle ) and in a bilingual parallel texts edition [English-Italian] ( http://smarturl.it/ProsePoetry ) More from Kentauron: http://smarturl.it/Kentauron

Many of the poems included here are short and uplifting, with messages such as “be yourself,” “you are beautiful,” and “this too shall pass.” They combine the appeal of short, shareable poems with inspiration and encouragement. Also included are some of White’s lengthier prose pieces, which address his childhood, his relationship with his father, and past romantic relationships, among other things. It Is Our Nature to Love... and Nature Is Our Inspiration
Author: P F Bulmer
Publisher: AuthorHouse
ISBN: 1546285342
Category : Poetry
Languages : en
Pages : 83
Book Description
Some readers may ask, why is a book of poems called a book of lyrics and songs, or vice versa? This may be because the word, poem, can be misused, and may be the most misused word in the English language, and leads one to be very cautious about using it. More recently the word poem, seems to have included pretty well any thing. What makes a good poem, who really knows? But it does seem have to be a little more than well-written prose. The Oxford dictionary describes a poem, as a piece of imaginative writing in verse and poetry as a quality of beauty or emotional power, poetry and fire, balanced in music. At what stage do songs and lyrics become poetry is not very clear but the connection is clearly very close.
