En la investigación se habla de la Norma ISO, específicamente de la norma ISO 9001:2000, a modo general, además se verá el concepto Calidad en una Organización, y los beneficios que conlleva un sistema de gestión de calidad bien implementado. Uno de los puntos mas destacables de un Sistema de Gestión de Calidad, es que así como se busca la satisfacción del cliente, también, estos principios traen mejoras, a corto y largo plazo, por ejemplo, un Sistema de Gestión de Calidad bien implementado, significa orden, mejora continua, trabajo en menor tiempo, reducción de costos (menor cantidad me perdidas o de productos fallidos). La Inspección Técnica de Obras es una entidad fundamental para supervisar las labores ejecutadas por una Empresa Constructora o una Empresa Contratista, es por esto que hemos querido describir los procesos que ésta realiza y como opera bajo una política de calidad establecida por si misma. Una Empresa Constructora tiene una labor especifica, ejecutar una determinada obra, adjudicada con anterioridad, pero también esta Empresa constructora debe trabajar bajo modelos de calidad, ya que una Determinada Empresa Constructora no puede adjudicarse una obra si no esta certificada por la norma ISO 9001:2000, esto según el Ministerio de Obras Publicas. Se muestran planillas de registro, las cuales son fundamentales en una Empresa Constructora certificada bajo ISO 9001:2000, ya que esta norma apunta a eso, al orden, es decir, registrar cada proceso en determinadas planillas

Resumen: La documentación del sistema de gestión de la calidad es el paso inicial en el camino a la permanencia y competitividad que brindan el asumir la cultura de la calidad como herramienta estratégica en las empresas. Conciente de lo anterior la empresa CONSTRUINVERSIONES A&M Ltda quien se dedica a la ejecución de obras de ingeniería civil, permitió el ingreso a su funcionamiento para realizar el presente trabajo. El objetivo principal de la investigación es: elaborar la documentación para el sistema de gestión de la calidad, norma ISO 9001:2000, para la empresa CONSTRUINVERSIONES A&M Ltda. El trabajo de investigación inicio con la realización de un diagnóstico sobre la situación de la empresa y sus trabajadores administrativos frente a la norma de referencia del presente trabajo. Luego de determinado el estado de la empresa, se procedió al establecimiento del direccionamiento estratégico de la empresa. Por ultimo se procedió al diseño de la documentación de procesos y procedimientos realizados en la empresa, para luego comparar dichos documentos versus los exigidos por la norma ISO 9001:2000 y complementar los faltantes, para obtener como resultado la ocumentación para el sistema de gestión de la calidad de la empresa CONSTRUINVERSIONES A&M Ltda. Durante la ejecución de la investigación se pudo observar como las empresas constructoras realizan muchas actividades de control en cada uno de sus procesos constructivos, pero la falencia en la administración de dichos documentos y datos no le permite identificar las posibles oportunidades de mejora. El proceso de documentación del sistema de gestión de calidad en las empresas se simplifica cuando existe real compromiso de las partes involucradas.
